How safe would you feel parking your MM at a hotel within a couple of miles of the Mall Of America.

Im gonna be up there for a wedding and would like to take the MM, but at the same time I'm worried about vandalism or theft (installing a kill switch tomorrow)

Wanted to get the opinion of locals?

If it's parked at the hotel I'm assuming it's an indoor parking garage.

Security and cameras right?

Damn that sucks! Well is it at least a gated lot with cameras and security?

If it's part of the hotel I would think so.

What hotel are you staying at? I think the only thing you need to be concerned about is a door ding. This isn't downtown Minneapolis. Try to find an end spot.

Just wondering about the "Kill Switch" you are having installed. Why would you need this? Doesn't the PATS system make it impossible to steal without a key?

Should not be an issue around MOA. Ramada, Waterpark of America, Hilton, Embassy Suites are all good.

Crouse - pats is supposed to disable starting, but a kill switch is like extra insurance. there has been a few people had thier MM stolen that are on this site.

Jdando - I might stay at Ramada Plaza. Is it good/safe place to park the MM?

The only Ramada Plaza I can find is up in NE Minnespolis. That's about a 25 minute drive to the Mall of America. There are tons of hotels closer and safer.

Go to Google Maps and enter the following:

Hotels near Mall of America, Bloomington, MN

You should get about 10 hotels within a 5-10 minutes drive of the Mall of America.

What he said! The Ramada at MOA is nice. A decent location, you should have no issues there.
