Hi my 15A fuse in fuse/relay location number 16. my eatc or air willnot come on, my suspension is low can't get the rear to rise. steering is stiffer i have tryed a family mechanic no luck. I know ford will charge a whole body for diagnosis i bet. every time i turn the key in the on position you can hear the fuse pop. im in dallas any input would be appericated.

sounds like a short to ground in the circuit. the fuse is popping because the resistance that the circuit normally has is much lower making the amps higher, popping the fuse. the only way to find it without going to ford would be to fully inspect the harnesses attached to the fuse

Disconnect everything that uses that fuse.

Install a new fuse.

If it blows then they is a short in the wiring harness.

If it doesn't blow then start connecting everything you disconnected on-at-a-time until the fuse blows.... whatever you connected last is the problem.

The 15A fuse in the #16 position in the under the hood box controls:

Reversing lamps, Shift lock, DRL module, VAP Steering, Electronic
day/night mirror, Overhead console, Air suspension and Climate control.

Some place to check for broken, frayed or pinched wires:

The Harness on the left side of the engine compartment, behind the cylinder head. It maybe touching one of the cowl bolts.

The drivers side sunvisor, check the pigtail going to it.

Good luck!

PM me if you have any questions.

you said that it is pigtail in the drivers side mirror or the cowl bolt what does that look like

There is a wiring harness that runs through the drivers side mirror. Check for any cut or chaffed wires that would cause a short.
The other option is that main harness that runs behind the drivers side head. There are a few cases where it rubs through and causes dead shorts on the accessories.

See my post #4.

The drivers side SUNVISOR.

Remove the 3 screws and see if the wiring is OK.
