Ok 03 MM..... I was on the highway when my car pretty much down shifted into second gear.... OD light flashing and check engine light on.... Still drives but everytime I go into either 1st 2nd or drive it automatically puts it in second gear and stays in second... It won't shift.. also noticed when it goes into reverse it kicks into reverse a lot quicker than it normally would... I'm clueless I'm about to have it scanned but I figured I would check here first for some input... Let me know

It "grinds" or it shudders?

If it's grinding, then you better start saving money now and don't drive it anywhere you can't walk home from.

If it's shuddering, that's pretty common and means the transmission fluid needs changing.

**** im hoping its not that but shuddering sounds more of a right way to put it but i had just got a flush a weed ago..

Filter change as well? They use Mercon V fluid?

Filter is great, but not mandatory.

i had just got a flush a weed ago..Did you have it flushed BECAUSE it was shuddering or has this just started since then? If it was doing it before the flush, then it should get better as you drive. It can sometimes take a hundred miles or so before the shuddering abates. If it's just started SINCE then, I would go back to wherever you had it done and ask what they used for fluid. The only acceptable fluid is Mercon V, not plain Mercon with some miracle-in-a-bottle additive.

it had done it before and i only put about 60 miles since i had it flushed, and i also notice it really only does it when i shift on low RPMs under 2 to be exact but it had been a couple days and it does it less and less so hopefully that is the case

Mine started shuttering recently also around 2000ish rpm. Trans flush and filter change at the dealer is the plan for next week. I'll let you know how it goes... Car has 135K miles.

You did not here this from me // but you can run 4ounces of brake fluid in your trans . operate it a day or two then flush it. refill it with mercon 5 and try it again

BAD idea...the seals and rubber parts in a transmission are not designed to live in a brake fluid environment.
