Dulles Day Plane Pull + Car Show, Sat, Sept 24 2011

Hi, if anyone is looking for something to do on the 24th, come out to Dulles International Airport for the Dulles Day Plane Pull!

I have been entering my Marauder in the car show every year since 2006 (except for last year, I couldn't make it for some reason). It would be great if we could get a couple Marauders out for this. It's $10 entry but it goes to a great cause: Special Olympics of Virginia

Please see the attached PDF for more information. There is a ton of stuff to do. I used to work for a company that would sponsor a team and we would actually pull the plane. If you never hear of the Plane Pull, you take maximum of 20 people. You line up and a rope is attached to a fedex cargo plane. You get the line taut and the brake is released from the plane. there is just enough inertia to get the plane rolling and you pull the plane a distance of 20 feet.

In addition to the plane pull itself, there are vendors, food, kids activities and usually a lot of vintage WWII planes on display (Spitfires, Mustangs etc.)

This is always a good show and since Sept 24 seems to be an open day for me (Fiancee's bachelorette party!), I'm going to try and make it down!

Hopefully we can get a good turnout! The Nissan/Datsun club of Northern Virginia always makes a huge impression. The 200 and 240z's always come out in force for this event.

Wish I would have known about this one sooner. The wife and I will be in Ocean City for that weekend for our 36th anniversary. Maybe next year.

haha! I know that's one of the reasons i'm reconsidering... also Michelle's bachelorette party is tomorrow and it's the last free weekend I have before the wedding so I really need to get some items in order.

Thanks Man! Unfortunately wedding nuptials are same weekend as Marauderville 9. so as much as i've tried to convince her to head out there, I don't know if that will happen. It's possible we could drive up on Sunday after the ceremony but you all might be gone :(

Hey that's good to hear man! I'm glad you were able to make it out. It actually turned out to be a fantastic day. the weather was perfect. Unfortunately, I think regardless of the weather it was better that I stayed home because we had a lot of wedding stuff to do that day.

Congrats on the trophy! do you have any pictures?
