EATC Question

Experts!

So, my EATC will blow cold, hot and through all the vents as directed. My issue is that to keep the air from blowing cold, I need to keep my temperature setting on 75-77. At time 75 will blow a littel warm air and sometimes, it has to be 77.

Why? In my other cars, set at 70-72 and you are done. There was never an adjustment there.

Prolly the temp sensor in the EATC isn't functioning correctly. I went through a couple EATCs a while back, one would not respond to changes in fan speed settting (found that out AFTER replacing the BCM...:cool:), however, the other would adjust fan speed and vent position, but would only blow hot air, no matter where I set the range. Sounds like yours may be headed in that direction.

My suggestion would be to try and locate a used EATC and swap out. That, or find somebody with knowledge of the schematics and functionality of the electrical components in the EATC to locate and swap out the temp sensor.

Thanks. When I bought this Marauder from Matt, he provided me with a second EATC -- but I do not know what the condition is.

I will try to swap it out this weekend, and hopefully the second works.
