Hello all
Havent posted in a while, way back when I was hot on the trail for a Blue MM, made a lot of noise about it and actually found a couple on the East Coast but was not willing to pay over $30K at the time. Now in 04 and the great incentives in place Im ready to make my purchase. Spent over 6 hours last night and today searching Mercuryvehicles.com for all the dealer inventories in NY PA MD NJ VA NC WVA DE with no luck on a new Blue. Found a used one with 10K miles on it but they wont budge from $27K. Found a new 300B in Black with only 1K on it for $23.9 but would hate to get the black and still have the blue on my mind.
SO, anyone out there know any dealerships that still have an 03 blue?
Any feedback greatly appreciated.

They are obviously very hard to find. I don't think you will find a brand new 2003 blue! But..... here's a nice one....

Thanks, unfortunatley thats the one I was referring to in my post, the salesman told me it now had almost 9900 miles and would not budge on the $26,995. (for $3K less and 8K less miles I could get a black) Youre right though they are hard to come by. There is actually one in AZ, but dont think I want to travel that far plus its advertised in 3 different places at $31K.

I just bought a brand new blue one at the beginning of the year. Around Christmas, I had the local Dealer do a search for me and found only 1 blue one within 500 miles. There were many black 2003's and no silver. After Christmas, he had the car brought back to Ohio from a dealer Upstate NY. The cost was $23,600 before taxes. I was able to get 8K in rebates off the invoice price. There may still be a couple out there. Go to a Dealer and have them do a "locate" for a new one. I don't know if the rebates are still as good. Good Luck!

I am going out on a limb here, and maybe hurt a few feelings. But I have never been real fond of that particular shade of blue. The burgundy is the prettiest color so far. The silver also looks good. Everybody and their brother has a black one (obviously).
Mercury needs to make more colors, it's not that hard to do. The Arizona Beige would look extremely good on a Marauder. So would dark metallic green, or what used to be called British Racing Green. White would look good. The light blue on Crown Victorias and Grand Marquis' would look good too IMHO.
The biggest problem with a dealer doing a search..... they will want to DX the car and sell it to you. Which means some Sloppy Joe goes to wherever, picks the car up, and drives the living hell out of it back to the dealer. Or...... the dealer will say he couldn't find any blue ones, hoping to sell you a black or silver one from his inventory.

Right again Sheriff about the dealers, they will drive the hell out of it, still upsets me when I see some of them being sold with over 12K miles on it and they say theyre only demo or manager's miles on it. I agree that the wine is an awesome color but disagree about so many colors, look at the impala ss, only 3 colors and try finding one of the turquoise now (very rare)
SKP369...thats awesome & congrats! Thats an amazing price, I have spoken to a couple of local dealers and theyve given me the bs about how its going to cost them extra to trade and the transport etc, so Id be looking at $30K(if they could even find one) but none of them have gotten back to me.
My other option would be a red, but by the looks of it, I may have to wait til 05 to buy an 04 lol

Contact The Dealer. He (Ray) is member on our site and parts Manager at a L&M Dealership in Northeast Phial. I am very sure he will find you one:)

Holy Schniekies! That's probably what he paid for it new if he took the rebate instead of the 0% financing! Is the $31K for a new one? I would almost sell my blue one with $9k in mods for that! :)

It is actually listed as new (although the mileage is not in any of the ads) Its was an LM dealer in Tempe Arizona, hell Ive seen some posts on here where the 04s are less than that at $28.9.

Do a search, our other dealer here (Rush LM) posted a few days ago how many Blues are reported as being at dealerships around the country

Thanks for the info, I actually saw that post but he did not list the dealers names, he did however have a link to Rush LM and I called them but they had none in stock. I left a message with that member with the hopes that he could give me the dealer names...no response yet though.

I agree the Red one is the best looking. Blue was my second choice and saved me a whole lot of money! How about a bright blue metalic for 05?
