Make sure he gets the o-ring out with the old filter and no need for a new gasket. OEM gasket is made to be reused.

I read somewhere that you have to use genuine trans fluid and not regular with an additive. The search button is your friend.

Use Reline 75w140 for the rear. You won't need to add friction modifier.

Mercon V fluid for the transmission, reuse the factory gasket unless it's leaking before the pan even comes off then replace the gasket. You'll need 4-5 quarts.

Rear diff fluid is 75w-140. If you can swing by your local Ford dealer pick up 3 quarts of Motorcraft 75w-140 diff fluid and a 4 oz bottle of the Friction Modifier. Royal Purple and Mobil 1 75w-140 (LS) - Limited Slip are good to use as well if your local parts stores stock them. Lucus Oil also makes a synthetic diff fluid as well which I have used and it was only $8 a quart.

And I hope you are doing the SECOND gear oil change at 100K. I did mine at 67K

I'm going to do the "Jmod" on my car as removing the valve body drains another 4-5 quarts of fluid out of the trans (8-9 total). One can simply drop the valve body drain the fluid, clean off and replace the gasket and re-install and skip drilling any holes in the separator plate (or if you had already done this). I do miss my torque converter drain, I would drain over 11 quarts out of my old 2001 trans.
