Well it’s official…
Jerry Barns and I will be paying a visit to the San Francisco area the week end of January 30th. The Actual City where we will be staying and working with the car at is Santa Rosa, CA.
I guess its about 50 miles north of the San Francisco area.
To my surprise the customer and car we will be working with did not become a member here on this site till recently… His screen name is BLWNMRC.
The reason for this visit is we’ve decided that in order to offer a better tune for the Trilogy Blower customers in the West Coast and California area, we simply needed to refine or actually tune a Trilogy equipped MM on site.
We’ve heard that the quality of fuel in the California area and the west coast in general is not all that great, and in most areas is limited to only 91 octane.
With the stock 9.5 psi of boost I’ve had no problems locally with ’92 octane and really didn’t give 91 or less all that much thought over all. I’m confident that we will be able to work with the 91 octane with no problems at 9.5 psi of boost.
I don’t know all the exact details yet but we will be arriving some time on the Thursday the 29th and intend to get with the test MM and work with it all day on the Friday the 30th and then just hang out if all goes well on Saturday the 31st …. Departing on Sunday.
I originally had a fantasy about driving my own MM out that way once my Trilogy kit was done as part of a “sorta-kinda promotional thing” just to say I did it and have some fun going across the country for a few days.
But reality kicked in and I simply realized that it would have required to much time off work and my own MM won’t be ready that soon. Once February kicks in a lot starts to happen with our stuff and we simply couldn’t have made the time after late January.
Ever since I could drive I always wanted to drive from Michigan to CAL. This is still a great excuse to get away from the 15 degree weather we’ve had recently and 10 inches of snow!
We think that Saturday evening (the 31st) would be a great opportunity for other MM owners and our selves along with BLOWNMRC to get together.
Jerry or I will post more as we get closer to the 29th.
Hey TAF how’s the Paragraph’s :)
Thanks
