Someone told me a while ago that using too much tire shine; whether it be Armor-all or Meguiars while dry out your rubber on your tires and cause cracks? However, the product is used to prevent that. I was just curious if anyone has heard anything like that

First..... I'd NEVER use Armour All on anything!

Most tire shine products contain some type of silicone which will protect the rubber. How that will cause cracking is beyond me.......

Do you and Dom have the same "friends"?

Haha it sounds like we do. Armour All is no good? Is it a bad decision to use it on my dash/interior etc?

I use the Armor-All tire foam (not the 'extreme', just the regular). I've never had an issue with my tires cracking.

I been using this stuff and been very happy with it. Its not a wet look shine, its a shiny natural look to the tires. I put it on a month ago and its still looks exactly like the day I sprayed it on.

I've been using ZEP TIRELESS SHINE since day one and no dry rot issues here. Make sure you spray the applicator then wipe tire surface until coated to get a natural looking sheen without the over kill...

I've been using Meguiars Endurance gel with a sponge applicator.

I use the Armour-all stuff and it works OK. I seem to win it a lot as a door prize.

Do they stick pretty good on the tires? I hate when they splatter on the lower quarter panels soon after when driving off. I definitely like the natural shine instead.

Nothing splashes off. Just spray on a rag and apply, it stays shiny and nothing sprayed all over the car.

Armour all anything is total junk! I use a Tire Shine that automajic supplied the dealer I worked for NEVER found a better one then it. It keeps the tires looking great for almost a month. Only problem it is probably not readally avaible to general public. This stuff has such a high silicone content we couldnt even get it with 2-300 yards of the Body Shop it would cause fisheyes in the paint almost instantly.
