I hate rattles and have an unusual one. It sounds like a rock in a plastic coffee cup when driving over rough pavement with a passenger in the front seat. Does not happen without a passenger. I have tried everything inside and found nothing. Moved passenger to floorboard from seat and still have rattle. If I had a guess I would think that it is weight activated and outside the passenger compartment. Also, after driving in a heavy rain it stopped rattling for a day and then started back.

Do you hear the same sound if you are parked and back up or go forward?? Sounds like the same noise I'm.hearing..I was guessing it was my control arm or bushings??

I've only noticed it when I'm driving down the street. I've seen reference to sub-frame mounts and bushings but cannot find any information.

Just a quick question...is the passenger seat belted in?

I've tried it with the passenger belted in, the seat in all positions and even with the person in the floorboard not putting weight in seat at all.

Okay. Not what I had. Without a passenger, the seat belts clunks into the plastic on the b pillar. I just buckle it now. Hope you find it soon.
