the one thing that alway bothered me was that our cars didnt come stock with center console lights. i decided to fix that. i installed 3 leds in my center console that only come on when the console is open and turn off when its closed, just like a refridgerater. the circuit runs off a 9v battery that is located underneath the console. some pics below. if anybody wants to do this, it costs less than $15 at radioshacl and i can post instructions on how to wire the circuit and install it.

I have a kit that you can install that works off the cars electrical system... no batteries needed!

When the 9V battery goes south on you and leaks the more expensive kit will look good!;)

or i could just pop the center console out (takes all of 10 seconds) and replace the 9v... ;)

bolsen, when you have the opportunity, could you please post some larger PIC's?
Thanks in advance!
