At LVD, track was good, temps were good, tire spin till the 1/8 mile. shut it off at 1000 ft., ran out of gear. (running 4.10's will change 3.89's)
RAN 8.888 at 146.10 - took my breath away.

I love my 4.10 wouldnt change it for nothing in the world. Hope you get the times you are looking for. my best 1/4 mile on stock BFG 12.80 with rolling off the line. All that will change in a few.

Congrats on making it to the 8's. That is one heck of an accomplishment. My only complaint is your doing it with a BB Chevy. To me it is like Nascar using the same engine -not brand specific and generic- and I am not sure if it should count as a Mecury Marauder record. Just my .02

I'm 71 years old and set in my ways, my son gave me a cell phone this year and I'm still learning how to use it, my camera is a Minolta SLR 35mm and I'm still looking for the connection; I just learned how to access the internet and if it wasn't for my wife, I wouldn't post at all.

I'd love to have a video if someone would come take one, I'll pay your admission and buy your lunch. I'm at LVD on Sundays -I don't drive this car myself 'cause it needs a licensed driver, I drive purple that does 11.3, or at least till next year...

If you can get somone to drive your car I am sure you can get someone to take a video.

You will really enjoy having the video.

I am certain you can also find someone to scan and upload your time slip.

I'll watch the skies and the calendar and see if I can't land at LVD on the same day Triple Threat is up there
and snaps some pics and shoot some vid. I'm overdue for a visit and I'll have some new go-fast goodies to
put to the test as well.

I've seen Purple up there and did not have the pleasure of seeing the black beast in person but will be richer
for it if I can get up there...most likely in Oct if nothing else. The rain has usually spoiled things for FormulaMarauder
and I when we've headed up there in the fall but maybe the sun gods will grant a break from all that (its a bummer
to get all the way up there only to end up stopping for lunch and a ride back home).

Been conversing offline with another low-profile member here (Jim aka wb1dgp) who's running a DPB Trilogy with some nice
new exhaust work and suspension goodies and nabbed a 12.4 flat last weekend. Maybe try to get us all together for a Sunday session.

up at the Valley today -temp 80 and humid. changes made to the car Friday were gears from 4.11 to 3.89 - secondary jets in carb from 82 to 85 - 60 ft were down but picked up good mph at the end.
1st run - 1.42 60 ft. - 9.04 at 154.54
2nd run - 1.37 60 ft. - 8.99 at 152.97
3rd run - 1.40 60 ft. - 9.03 at 153.18
4th run - 1.41 60 ft - 8.94 at 153.92

probably will go back to 4.11 gears next week, waiting for new front end suspension QA1 coil over shocks and springs

On first round of eliminations raced a dragster and won - that was fun!!!

It's a race car. ;) It's strictly track and built for consistant mid 8's. Hey Joe! How was the track temp and humidity there? I was wondering how the gear change would affect her.
