HVAC???...what gives

New to board...AC blows cold through the defroster..cant change temp OR position of air flo..and to top it off my blower fan QUIT!!!!!...is there a self diagnostic i can do or is this dealer only fix???:confused::confused:

You need a new blower control module for the fan.

The BCM is around$ 75.00, not hard to do if you have small hands and patience.

You can fix the EATC you self too, just need the right o-rings. Or you can send it to me for repair.

thanks guys for quick reply!!...i tapped BCM with a screwdriver.. its working again...but now it seems its blowing hot air and the temp wont change even when i put ac on!!!

BCM only controls blower. Refer to post #2.

It might be your blend door if the temp won't change. Pray that it's not.

it never made the tapping noise (door/vent trying to open or close) until ___after i ran the diagnoistics test...before it was quiet and even though still blowing cold out the defrost..with that being said is there any way to clear a code or something to at least get annoying noise to stop and get it to were it was before diagnostic test was done??..seems i made a bad prob even worse:confused:..thx for input

Sounds like the blend door motor is bad.

would that also be reason for not being able to change temp??..if so..expensive fix???..i dont mind if it comes out of defrost for now i just want it to be cold not hot if possible...any way to stop the door tapping noise behind radio until i get fixed(annoying)...can i take it to a dealer and hav them clear it??..most appreciated!!
