BFG Radial T/A spec, any good?

I went to Discount Tire where I always buy tires. I told the guy I wanted BFG's for my car. He looked it up and said they would need to order the rear 245/55/18's.

I got them put on and noticed they were not the KDWS... Radial T/A spec's.

They seem o.k. and have 50,000 mile warranty (so in 20-30K maybe I will get a discount on my next set). Dont really seem as sport as they could be, but look like they might have more traction. So far they ride o.k. I really wanted the stock tires.

Anyone know much about them? I guess they will work for now.

The reports on them have been that they are nowhere near as stiff of a sidewall as the KDWS. But as long as you like them....

One guy did a technical review and road test back in August 2009 on them.

The way I noticed what they were was when I saw the side walls buldging a little. They seem like they might be better for off the line. The treads are a bit busy to me.

I would rather have the KDWS's, but I dont want to make a fuss with the dealership, they have done a lot for me in the past, and I should have double checked the tires we ordered.
