Eatc repair??

Found a place in minnesota that repairs EATC units for 125.00...lifetime warranty..is there more to it than the o rings that get replaced or electronic repair needed in these to work correctly..currently getting code 024 blend door failure or short...blows hot air out of defrost but if i run diagnostics before hand i get cold air for about 15-20 seconds than it switches to hot air and stays..it wont let me lower temp or change vent position...seems like its a huge problem (faulty EATC)..it is currently making a tapping noise behind glovebox while car is on like the acutator is trying to open or close flapping door..My question is if it was the blend door or the acutator being bad would it still make that noise...was told to try EATC repair first...this guy in minnesota does a boat load of these and tells me this is problem with ford..reading all these post have me confused on my issue:confused:..any clarification would be most helpful..nice to know you get straight answers and not BS on this forum..thx everyone for your input...if EATC repair needed would like to give business to someone on forum instead of sending to minnesota (wheres Minnesota??:))

I would say either do the orings yourself or have fastblackmerc do it for ya (as that can be done very easily and very cheap) then if that doesn't fix it (which I suspect it won't fix everything) then it looks like maybe a blend door actuator replacement is also in your future.

any blend door actuator replacement instructions with pics available?...what tools will be needed??..thanks everyone!!..its support like this that makes owning these cars alot of fun!!!!!
