View Full Version : How about a "Good Dealer List"?

We've all had bad dealer experiences. I think that it would be helpful if we had a list of good dealers to refer to.

I've been to three around Detroit but the only one that gave me a warm fuzzy feeling was Jack Demner L/M in Dearborn. They sorted out the problems that the selling dealer created and knew what a Marauder was. The service writer, Bob Flinchum, is knowledgeable and treated me with respect.

aside to Logan, maybe this thread would be better served if it was sticky so it was easy to find.

I've had experiences with (3).
Stu Evans L/M Garden City is quite good.
(Stu Evans L/M Lakeside not known)
Southgate L/M in Southgate sells a few Marauders, but treats them like a Grand Marquis with "spoked wheels"...definitely NOT the "go to" dealer.
Momentum L/M in Monroe definitely NOT either.

If you're within 300 miles of Atlanta...and you're not going to Scott Levin @ Team Ford of Marietta....you're doing the wrong thing!!!!

I shopped three Dealers In Northwestern OHIO. I have found without question the best in this area is:

Bowling Green Lincoln-Mercury-Jeep
St. Rt. 25
Bowling Green, Ohio

No Games. Very Honest (compared to most dealers).

Highly recomend John Eagle, I drive past 6 other L/M dealers to go there,
BUT if you go join the "CLub" it will be worth your while.

Those in the immediate vicinity of Montreal would do well to patronize Terrebonne Ford, located in Terrebonne Quebec, a suburb of Montreal located just north of it on the north shore. If you're looking to buy, you can't beat their prices (well, I couldn't, they really went out of their way to get me the best deal possible, even after I said I was going to buy elsewhere). And their service department is solely responsible for me still being a Marauder owner, after some outrageously great support on touchy items (harness slicing issue, bad Roadside assistance episode, ticking driver's head, etc.).

Been to two- Healy Brothers L/M Orange County NY (tried to sell Demo at full price W/4995 Mil: on it) = Bad Deal, and D'Amico Lincoln Mercury Inc. at 352 Route 18 in East Brunswick NJ and dealt with Dealer John E Blazier Jr. Got a very good and strait foward deal.

If in southern Wisconsin, see Bell Ford for great service. Located on hwy 60 in Arlington, Wisconsin, Nolan Campbell will hook you up. Fast, friendly and knowledgable.

Stay away from Mueller L/M in Oshkosh! They woulld lose your car if it was the only one on their lot.

Tasca F/L/M in Providence, RI (Cranston)

Well versed and competent doing any mods you desire...up to and including blowers/race prep.!!..

Nick is the service writer for their performance/ aftermarket shop area

Excellent service, and from the way the rest of their operation is run, would guess sales too

Herb Chambers Ford in Braintree, MA has gone well out of their way to make sure I was happy with with service too, not as adventurous as Tasca (smaller) but I have been very happy with their service dept.

Smith Cairns Ford of White Plains, NY

I bought my MM there and just had another good experience with them this morning. Seems that my windshield rearview mirror came loose for some reason. So the service manager looked at, pulled it in, had a tech tighten it, car came out 3 minutes, 57 seconds later. :D In all honesty, I would have fixed it myself but couldn't seem to figure out how to tighten it so that's why I asked the dealer.

I used to bring my Crown Vic there and bought my MM there cause I was happy with the service and friendliness.

General Manager's name is Kevin Bartolo. He was the one that did the paper work for my MM....so no BS from a salesman!!! :D Very nice guy and hooked up all of the dealer installed options like LoJack and System 4 Alarm.

In Rhode Island, like Lcpl says Tasca, kind of invented this DOHC thing in the 60's. In Northern AL, Ray Pearman in Huntsville did right by me on repairs after crash. In South AL, Medford Ford in Dothan(?) did good by the guy I work with on his purchase. They also tell me the guy in Chattanooga is pretty good, Doster or Dossier something like that, although I have no personal experience with him.

EricIf in Northern Wisconsin go to southern Wisconsin to Bell Ford like NOMARQIUS said. There is not one good FLM dealer up here, none of them know what a Marauder is and they have no clue how to fix my old Marquis either.

For those in Chicago or the north side of town, I dropped by this place on a whim, and they were the best by far. This was the 4th place and not only were they nice, straight shooters the sales/finance manager is extremely knowlegable about Mauraders and 442s - as car geeky as any of us.

I bought my DTR Marauder from Mark Rasmussen at Pugmire Lincoln of Marietta GA. Mark's a car guy like us - but more into Mustangs. He's restoring a Shelby GT 500. Great guy and a good dealership. No experience with the service department yet.

Rob,

Now I'm a little upset with you...I drove past Pugmire 3 times yesterday running some "errands"...and the funny thing is...I almost pulled in a couple of those times to see what tHEY would do for me (price-wise) on the Silver, loaded '04 that I was at the other dealership on Tuesday working on for Marauderman.

Congrats!!! :banana2:

But...you STILL should have let me know... :nono:

Northeast Maryland....Let me think.....NOPE, not a clue!! Now if you are ever out my way or in the Hagerstown area, well then I can be of some service. Take me east or south of the Frederick county line and off of the main highways and I am LOST!!

How far are you from Philly? If you are close enough just take it to TheDealer I am pretty sure he would treat a fellow Marauder owner well.

I've bought numerous vehicles from them. They are family run dealerships.

Wall's L-M
115 Merrimack St, Methuen, MA 508-687-3100
Gen Mgr Rick Giorgio, Sales Eddy Francis, Svc Mgr Bryan Wall
They just received the "Presidents Award"

Wall's Ford
181 Lafayette Rd, Salisbury, MA 508-462-6658
VP John Wall Jr, Gen Mgr John Poulos

They are suppose to be getting 3 MM's in this week, Black, Silver and Red.
The GM told me, trying to entice me to trade. I only have 7200 miles on mine, doesn't mean I would do something crazy.
