I am also getting the HID fogs (as I want everything to match), have ordered the DDM 35w 9007 Hi/Lo kit (which I believe used the mechanized hi/lo setup?) in 5K (am looking for about the same look as silverstars color wise, not a real blue look) as well as the DDM 35w H10 in 5K. So then I don't think I will need the relays? but will need the connectors for the fogs

You'll be happy with the DDMtuning 5000k. I had their 6000k and then changed to 5000k and it looks much better (just a nice clean classy appearance) and I could actually see more compared to the 6000k I had before.

You won't need any relays. The headlight kit when you go with the hi/low comes with it's own relay harness and I have my fog lights directly wired into the factory harness. If you search for my "new hid kit" thread I posted a pic of the wire pins in the correct socket location and make sure the metal arm rod that runs the length of the bulb is at the 6 o'clock position when it's in the headlight and foglight housings.

i agree. i have 4500k headlights and they are WHITE WHITE. 6000k or over, without a projector, looks bad, imo. it starts to look blue and begins to lose functionality and classyness. to each his own.

8000k all around. Not a super deep blue, but a noticable aqua. Still MUCH brighter than Halogens and good looking...imho. Believe it or not, you cant really notice the blue while driving, but i've seen my own car coming down the street before and these things are beautiful.

I don't think there is a "standard" for the temperatures. If there is some manufactures don't follow it.

OEM is 4300 but also some OEM have different colored lenses on their projectors. Also cameras will pick up and display colors different.

The kit in those videos was a McCulloch system and the bulbs only warmed up if the ignition was on.

So does anyone know if there is any install info for these DDM lights (specifically for the headlight setup as I know there is a thread around for the foglights)...lots of wires (some with connectors, some without) and am trying to figure out what goes where etc...

I think I figured out the headlight portion, for the H10 foglights do I cut the two flat bladed male connectors (1 red & 1 black on each) off, and then thats what I have to wire into the vehicle harness? If so (which is what I'm guessing...) then I think I've got it.

A kit with NO install instructions? :shake::shake:

Yes, you should have connections from the vehicle wiring to the ballast and from the ballast to the bulbs.

Yeah fbm - no install instructions...or really anything but the order in the box... I went on thier site and found some kinda crappy install instructions and then just looked at the headlight stuff and figured it out. Thought that was how the fogs went, just wanted to make sure since I didn't know why those wierd flat prong connectors were on them (like the prongs that go into a regular headlight, strobe light, etc connector end).

Thanks!

Yep no instructions cause most people who embark on doing plug-n-play HID kits have an idea of what they need to do or some other reference. My "new hid kit" thread is a walk through on how to install them for the headlights.

A company who's product is installed in a vast range of vehicle can not provide install instruction as it could be installed from anything such as an semi truck to an atv and everything in between.
