The reason is simple, SERVICE!!! As you know most people in the world of auto performance especially on the retail level are, well, jerks. Not Dennis and here is a little story.
After a high idle concern Dennis told me to send in my original chip and he would get out another. After receiving the chip I put it in and had all sorts of problems: wouldn’t shift out of first, turned on the cooling fan, and no speedometer. I shot Dennis off an email and he promptly called and reassured me that this was the first time he had ever heard of this in the thousand chips he had sold. He told me to reclean the contacts on the ECM and try again. I thought, “Well the LM dealer put in the first and this is going to be unnecessary.” A very naïve thought. When I took the computer all the way apart I wondered how the first chip even worked. The blue stuff that covers the contacts was all still there. I cleaned the contacts, put in the chip, reinstalled the ECM and everything worked flawlessly.
Now keep in mind I bugged Dennis repeatedly and caused him grief that I feel bad for now.
So my advice to everyone here is BUY EVERYTHING FROM REINHART AUTOMOTIVE, keep him in business so we can all enjoy this level of service for our Marauders. Trust me this type of service does not grow on trees, especially for the novice crowd. I have seen posts to the effect that it is wise not to put all your eggs in one basket however in this case it could not be further from the truth.
Thanks again, Dennis!
