Getting the new motor assembled and decided to put some bling on it since I had the blower repolished.

Looking for:

Polished coolant tube or where to get one. I can replace it with my factory unpolished unit if saves $$.

Polished tensioner or where to get one. 6-rib is fine.

Polished idler wheels or where to get them. Also 6 rib.

Polished valve covers. Don;t need the coil covers as I have LS1 coils on top.

Information on where to get the parts is also welcome in this thread. Pictures are a bonus.

As always, thanks in advance!

John. Just get a bench buffer and some different compunds. This was just messing around before I put money into better tools. Used 1/4 buffing wheels with white compound and my 18v drill on this tensioner last night.

That's what I'm looking for, but I know my limitations and need the parts already done. ;)

Are those for sale? Are they factory tensioners?

what is a 1/4 buffing wheel and where do I get it and the white compound should I decide to try this?

Hey John! It's actually really easy. I'm getting an actual buffer. Looks like a grinder and has cotton wheels. Depending on how bad the surface is, depends on how many levels (sanding, different polishing compounds) you go into it before getting to your final finish with the white compound. The tensioner I knocked some manufacturing edges off with an air tool and a sanding roll, but, most of it was just polishing with a cotton wheel, white compound and drill.

1/4" drill kit (good for small tight areas, lots of muscle work)

Benchtop buffer, my next purchase.

Buy yourself some facemasks while your at as the cotton wheels slowly come apart and the mask will help hide your ugly mug too:D

Well, I've spent more money on worse. Guess I could head over to the Harbor Freight store and pick up some toys to play with.

You're gonna have to wear a welding helmet if you go out for a drive on a sunny day with all the bling rays arcing and sparking from in front your windshield.

The windshield should actually be in the shade of the intake and blower! :D
