Did a search and I think only a couple ever came up! regardless, I'm in no rush so if one pops up before I decide to purchase, all the better for me. Doesn't hurt to put out the word!

I got one from jdenning last year, but IIRC, that's the only used one I've ever seen f/s on the board.

These typically aren't removed and sold used unless:

(a) a car's been totalled and parts are being pieced out.

(b) the car's being converted back to stock condition for some reason (prior to sale, trade-in, etc.)

FWIW, the sway bars aren't that expensive to begin with, and I doubt that used price would vary much from new. (It's not like this is a high wear part). Why not just buy new?

Why not just buy new?

Just not in a rush to purchase at the moment as the car isn't a daily drvier (and actually in pieces at the moment LOL). Because it is not a high wear item, I figure the ability to saving $30-50 would just flow over into the next mod bucket. If one doesn't pop up, I'll buy new. Its not really an issue.

The one thing I notice with people is how quick they are to drop $$$ when the mod bugs bites them (which is fine if they are gazillionaires, but I work VERY hard for my money). They throw $$ likes it going out of style, have a ton of parts sitting in their garage and it takes 6-12 months to even get half of the items on. If they were a bit more patient and understood what they were doing and their realistic objectives, they could have done the same for a fraction of the cost and be in the same position in the 6-12 months (with more $$$$ in pocket). Case in point - scavaging for eaton swap parts - look at all the people who post up they want to do an eaton swap because they say the buzz words somewhere...once they actually understand what is entailed (and possibly after spending a bunch of caaaaaash), interest may be lost or they may decide to go another route. Guess who'll be there to swoop in for the kill? :) Doesn't always work out this way, but I'd venture to say I'm WAY ahead of the game when it comes to spending $$$ on aftermarket parts over the years (I've also been burned a few times, but it is all part of the process).

Also, how do you tell the difference between the Addco and stock sway bar by visually looking at them? p/n stamping, etc.? reason I ask is I found a totalled 03 somewhat locally that has 19k on the clock but was in the accident 7 months ago...thus, someone was saving this car and wouldn't be suprised if some parts were updated. Thanks!
