I'm looking at moving my rear tires to the front and installing new larger rear tires. Does anyone know if this will work. I have a 300A and I'm having a hard time finding front tires and I'd like put more meat under the rear.

I need some assistance in this endevour.

There are members here that have ran the rear tires on all 4 corners, and no complaints of rubbing, etc.

Look at the tires sizes in my sig. that I am currently running, as they are not OEM sizes and still maintain the MM stance even with the bigger sizes.

What do you mean you are finding it hard to find fronts? Pretty much every tire manufacturer makes a 235/50/18

I run 255/45-18 (Front), 265/50-18 (Rear).

I mean that I'm having a hard time finding OEM tires for the car. Since I can't find OE front tires I was thinking of moving the rear tire since they are still good.

Gotcha. BF Goodrich tyres were OK but you can do better with a different brand. Just be sure to take into account the load rating when ordering. Lot's of threads on tyre choices. Good luck.:)

You don't have the TC so there are more options. Yokohama;

235/50R-18 Yokohama AVID ENVigor (W) $152.

The rears are 255/55-18

Both Tirerack and Discount usually have the OEM fronts, but they are not cheap anymore. I had to replace my fronts this year, ouch... :(

Well guys I just went to the Mercury dealer in town and bought 2 OEM tires and had them put on. I paid $204 a piece for the the tires. I guess it's better to stay with stock tires in the end. I just hate that I have to pay so much for tires.

Thats not much more than I paid when you factor in shipping. Are you using CarFixer's alignment specs?

Our front tires are out of stock at Goodrich. NO production date.
I did find a few online still available.
