If you go with a Cobra motor in your car, you'll want swap out the front skirt with the OEM one from your MM, otherwise you'll have to notch you frame for clearance. If you do that, you'll need to pick up a set of belt tensioner and alternator brackets from grtch to complete the motor and blower swap into your car.
Also the Cobra motor is lower compression, so plan on running higher boost than stock Terminator to generate HP.

Been doing well.
Check out svtperformance under "cobra" or "terminator" parts for sale, there are usually some guys parting out their cars over there and often you'll find a full motor f/s.
FWIW, you might also want to consider going to an Aluminator and then doing an Eaton swap on it.

In my opinion it would be easier to get a Cobra shortblock and a turbo/procharger setup. The entire cobra setup (blower setup, not engine) will cost you $2000-$3000 with a stock Eaton blower. From there you have to get a Whipple or Kenne Bell to achieve the 550+ hp goal you put in the other post. So just for the blower setup you are looking for $5000-$6000 minimum. You can get a used turbo or procharger setup for $2500-$3500 to achieve that goal. I should also mention that the 03-04 Cobra blower setup is a pain in the ars to deal with. I dont want to start anything with the roots blower guys but a roots blower is much more stressful on an engine than a centri or turbo (happens to be a ton of fun but that's just the truth!).
I've personally converted a 2001 Mustang GT to a cobra setup and it was not easy at all and ended up being very costly and time consuming.
It would be so much easier to stick with your current setup but build a strong shortblock and add a centri. I'm just speaking from experience on this one. That way you keep all your stock wiring and components. In the future you will be very thankful that you did that!

You have to consider the cost of an engine (which you might buy and it ends up needing rings or something), blower setup, fuel system, and tune. When all is said and done I think it will cost you more like $10,000. What you could do for now is buy the shortblock and fuel system and get it all installed for $6,000. Then simply save for the blower and you already have a setup ready to take it!

I was thinking of doing a centri which i could do but finding the cobra motor is my problem...

^^^^^ Uh, okay...? ^^^^^
If he buys a parted out Cobra engine with the blower included, the only extras he'll need are the brackets, lower hub, and lower pulley ring to install in his car. If he wants big HP, he can run a smaller upper pulley on the stock Eaton set-up and go with a more aggressive tune, or he can sell the M112 for $300 - $400 and replace it with a Whipple or KB.
I would also add that finding a used turbo set-up for a Marauder is gonna be an interesting challenge.

Yeah I didn't think about it on the Turbo when I added that in, good point.
Those things you mentioned are costly from Ford. The cheapest I've ever seen a Cobra motor complete from intake to oil pan with blower setup is $5000. Upper and lower pulley might break into 500rwhp range but definitely not 550. Also, pushing the Eaton that hard is also hard on the engine. At that point it's just hot boost and not much CFM.

What are the chances i can just buy a forged rotating assembly and it install ok and my motor is knocking? More like clapping

Brackets from grtch are around $450, Metco sells an Eaton swap pulley kit for the Marauder for $350, so not cheap, add those onto the cost of the used motor and blower and you're close to his budget ceiling, for sure. Agree with you on the 500 rwhp limitation from an M112, can only generate so much boost, beyond that, diminishing returns.
Then again, getting a motor that'll run 550 rwhp and hold together is gonna be a challenge for $6K. By the time you invest in a built short block, install FI, and get it tuned, doing it for $6K's a stretch.

In another thread just recently. There was a short block that could handle 600hp for $3000.
Here it is.

Yup, cost starts climbing expotentially once you get past 450 or so rwhp.

That could be an option as long as the cylinder walls and heads are ok. Stiil need the engine pulled, taken apart, inspected, cleaned, bored over if necessary, heads cleaned and checked, possible light valve job. New forged rotating assembly @ $2100 (may come with bearings), rings @ $150, head gaskets @ $150, ARP bolts and studs @ $300, front and rear seal @ $21, labor @ $$$!

I made a post like this a month or 2 ago, wanting to go w/ 500+ hp here: http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=72604
I came to the conclusion that I'll stick with 450hp on the MM for what I'm trying to spend right now.
You have to upgrade the fuel system too.(I could be wrong tho). I say buy an aluminator first, stack some more $$$, then add a whipple or w/e but thats just me.

I agree with this. Get the engine in there first and go from there. Don't try to tackle everything at once. It would end up being a mess! I personally am going to do the same thing. For the fuel system im going to have the tank sumped and run a return fuel system. It's easier for tuners to tune and I the dislike having to replace the FRPS everytime you jump on the throttle a little.

Your best bet is to get yourself a Ford Aluminator shortblock or longblock for now and then save your money for a roots blower or snail s/c.
Do it right the first time. A fresh engine will feel a whole lot better than what you're used to having.

I did a complete 2003 Cobra swap set up with Cobra front dress and alternator and the frame did NOT needed to be notched.
I did have to change out the voltage regulator module in the Cobra alternator as it needed to be PCM controlled rather self-regulating.

Interesting! I've always heard that there were clearance issues if you used the Cobra front skirt.

There would be, unless you have a custom alternator relocating bracket and it's not the one from grtch.
