View Full Version : Cutting out rear cats.
If I take out my rear cats will my gas mileage get better? Will it throw any dtc's? Would appreciate any input thanks

Unless they are clogged, you are wasting time, money and two good catalytic convertors for nothing.
Probably will throw an MIL as well.
If you plan on upgrading your exhaust with headers and a larger-higher flowing 'H' pipe, then you could drop the entire OEM 'H' pipe/cat set-up and put in a set of high flow catalytic convertors.
Is there an hpipe that'll hook up to the stock exhaust system either o/r or with hiflow cats?

The pipe that fits has to be lengthened. There is nothing that is that is a bolt-in.
Thanks. Will the car get better gas mileage by deleting the rear cats?
