I just got off the phone with Mike, the owner of this car. Was hoping he might be willing to drive it over to the AACA Car Show today, but he's working. According to him, he is the 3rd owner. It originally belonged to a guy who collected Mercuries and had about 50 vehicles. When he divorced he had to sell this car and several others. The second owner had it garaged for 15 years. Mike bought it from him. He says the car is in very good condition and all original except for the carpet. It has 68,000 original miles. He's selling it because he's getting married and needs $$.

If anyone is interested in seeing the car later today or on Sunday, give Mike a call at (717) 466-9186. The car is located about a mile from Shady Maple Restaurant, which is a great place to eat. You could have lunch and see this Marauder!

That is rare breez-way rear window marauder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually, its the 2nd most produced model in the 1964 year at 15,520 units. 1st is the Monterey 4 door breezeway at 20,234.

The 3rd most produced is the Monterey 2 door hardtop at 8,760....which tells you just how rare it ISN'T.

Sorry, it's not a Marauder unless it has the fastback roof in either 2 or 4 door hardtops in 3 different models: Parklane, Montclair or Monterey. The emblems in front of the front wheels are not correct.

Are you sure? The way i understand it, the Marauder came with 3 different trim packages ..

Edit: did the research and you are 110% correct.

OK let me put it another as to the "rare" marauder remark. It's rare today to see one as all of I see are fastbacks.

I also know the build numbers but did not check prior to posting.

And yest the '63, '64, 65 marauders were a "package/option" on the base Monterey, mid-level Monclair and top of the line Park Lane:)

In '69, '70 they were stand alone models base marauder (390 engine) and X-100 with the 429 and a host of items:)

I had a 1970 X-100 red/black :)
