I got to hang out with my extended family for a week.

All the hard work and effort put into this was a labor of love for the car and all the members that I have met or met for the first time this week.
Its been a absolute honor and a pleasure to be part of putting this event together for everyone.
I have to agree with Tom (Marauderman) with that empty lonely feeling that comes when its all over with and the last Marauder pulls out of the parking lot. It hit me on the ride home and I felt it this morning when I woke up and realized I had to work at my job and not for Marauderville 9. :(

I'm glad everyone had a great time, Looking forward to putting the effort forward for you guys at Carlisle 2012.

Paul,

I know the feelings you describe all too well.

Kudos to a job well done by you and your team that put this together!

Even though I wasn't physically there, certainly in spirit I was, and keeping up with the event and the site as it unfolded.

I have heard very positive comments about the execution.

And for that,... My hats off to you guys.

- Shaijack bought my spare rim.

- Go2GalFL won Saturday night's last round of L-C-R in our first time playing.

- DOOM learned I made my avatar from HIS wheel smoking a tire and thinks its cool.

- Finally opened my box of car care products I got from 03MMMonroe at MV-9. My crew really got into cleaning the car so much so I'll need a re-up for the travel kit.

- Haggis introduced us to cranberries soaking in moonshine.

- Learning about the beginning and ending of the Marauder platform directly from Steve Babcock was amazing. Imagine had a 2005 been built!

- Who'd a thunk Blackened300a and my sis-n-law are in the same Teamsters' Local 282 (shirts are a com'n, Paul).

-Sorry, Charlie ... only TWO golden tickets were issued. Better luck next year.

- Already mapped out the drive to and from Marauderville X!

I loved seeing real people that matched screen names.
Rex it is always a pleasure to hang with you and Terry.
Loved the week and week end.
Will be at Marauderville X.
Casey what a nice guy.
PonyUp you made the stay exciting.
Had a blast wish I did not have such a bad cold.
Best is the wife enjoyed the trip and wants more. (maybe she will drive the black)
Great food and friends.
Thanks to the planing group, they made it as good as it was.
The S. Carolina group is the best. Tom/Kathy and Russ and wife.
Thanks again.

- Got another trophy (so grateful)...

- Logged another Marauder trip w/ Marcela (she's hooked too)...

- I realized now more than ever I belong to an association of men who offer strong handshakes and
have wives/significant others who hug with sincerity. A car club that hugs....I woulda never thought.

As said before, it really will catch up with you at some point after
the close of the event how special this all is.

Best,

Awesome time seeing familiar faces and meeting new ones. Funny thing is. Is that when I see the familiar peeps, I get the feeling as if I had just seen them last week even though I haven't seen some of you since the last Louisville meet. There is no feeling of meeting strangers. That is an awesome feeling and tells alot about the members here and how special MM.net and it's meets are.

In short. It's like meeting up with friends that I saw last week and have known for many years!!

Can't wait for the next Louisville meet now!!

I loved being part of the Planning Committee and working with my amazing teammates for the past 12 months!!

I loved that SGT Merc/Marty showed up and immediately pitched right in to help us get things ready! Thank you Marty!

I loved seeing Witman40/Derek again after just meeting him the weekend before!

I loved seeing so many old friends and meeting new ones while working at the Registration desk on Wed. night and Thursday morning!

I loved meeting Shijack and Buickman and Baconbit and Guspech and P71 for the first time! All great guys!

I love seeing Justbob again after so long!

I loved that Reggie/MIDNITEMARAUDER drove out from NYC, got a room at the hotel, asked to be able to register even though he could only stay 1/2 a day on Thursday, just because he wanted to be a part of this event. Glad you joined us Reggie!! See you at Carlisle!

I love Mr. Man's Coffee Substitute CD!!

I love my MARAUDER lanyard! Thanks Ladyhawke/Chris!

I love my Tee shirts! Thanks Blackened300a and SMOKE!

I love my beautiful MV 9 clock!! Thanks MERCMAN & Bunny!!

I loved all the hugs (Marauder men are great at this!) Special mention to Doom, Marty, Waymon and BigDog!

I loved that my own private lawyer had my back! Thanks N40GL/Mark!

I loved every minute I spent with all of you!
If I didn't mention your name here, don't think I didn't love seeing you, too.....
because believe me I DID!!!

Ms. M (Kathy) and I really like MV9 because as we all know --we get to enjoy our extended family as Paul mentioned a while ago^^....+

*Got to meet first time guspech750 at the gas pumps near the hotel---screen name to face is always a great event!

*The ritual parking lot gathering of the "Family" in the evening with adventure stories being told til the late hours.........

* All that has been said before this post is truly correct and amazing.

* The convoys where this time as last in line did not have to stop for blue/red lights behind me for miles and miles--what an unusual felling....

** actually there are just too many wonderful events and items ---put simply--how great the planning team was there for each and every question we had and for the events needs when called for---You guys really learned a lot from our mistakes --We salute you all!!

Meeting everyone at MV9 was my favorite. Even if there were no events/activities planned, I would have been as happy as a clam hanging out with a rather large group of people that have the same interests/love/passion as I do. Ever since I joined this site and then met my first group of fellow MM owners (the BOC in Charlotte back in May), I had been wishing in the back of my mind that I had bought my MM sooner and thought about all the 'fun times' I have missed. But now, I realize that joining this group, this unbelievably close-knit bunch of people that are spread out across the country (and beyond), at this point in my life couldn't have happened at a better time. I have to reluctantly close the door on two big parts of my life very soon, but have opened a new door by becoming a MM owner and am glad that I did. All of you are special to me, and I'm grateful to have found you.

After hearing it first-hand from Steve Babcock about how the Marauder line was squashed, I did like many others and asked in my mind, "why?"; after thinking about it, I realized that if the Marauder line had survived and become a mass-produced machine, would there have been ANY Maraudervilles, a website called MM.net, and a great bunch of people to know and be proud to share something special with? True, there may have been something, but probably nothing like what we have now. One door closed, but another one opened.

I don't consider myself a religious person; I can't even remember the last time I've gone to church. I do believe there is a God, and I do believe that everything happens for a reason....even the bad stuff.
And I do believe that it will not snow during MVX...

I liked MV9 because: (I feel like I'm back in grade school!)

- it was my 1st MM gathering....won't be my last. We were made to feel like celebrities thanks to 1st-class, highly-detailed planning
- saw that CBT looks very little like his avatar
- met the almighty "DOOM". Quiet, humble guy with 1 very loud car.
- got to spend a few days with my brother....1st time in many years (and he went home a little richer thanks to some PA scratch-off's and the casino!)
- Mr Man's CD offering was very cool. Thank you sir! (:twocents: swap the Crue song to "Kickstart My heart" and swap 'Tallica's to "Fuel")

Well worth the price of registration....and we were only there 2 days!

Wow is all that can be said! The days leading up to MV9 were like the last week before Christmas. I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat...as much...I don't miss many meals, had visions of blue, red, silver, and even black running through my head. How about this...
Twas the night before Marauderville, not a Chevy dare stir as to wake up DOOM...for he's the one who makes them shake and run to their room. I was trying to sleep, tossing and turning ...when I smelled the smell of rubber burning. I hopped from my bed and I heard the whine of an Eaton at full song making the Goodyears leave black marks that were really looooonnnng. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, over 500 horses under that hood...beats everything (except Sherman) really good. The stuff of legend for those that didn't make it...so believe it to be true cause Doom do bake it...huh?

Oh boy.... Where do I start.

I really enjoyed MV9 because:

- I got to see all of our (the planning committees) ideas come to fruition and to see the smiles on everyone's faces and the hearing the laughter throughout the days at the events we put together were priceless.

- Seeing old friends and making new ones

- Putting screen names to the actual faces.

- Spending time with my second family

- Loved running back and forth between Joe/Guspech750, Casey/CBT, Ken, and Vkirkend with all their raffle prizes :woohoo: (helped me work out that cheeseburger I ate :D)

- The harassment I received after I won LCR and had to crawl on the floor to collect my winnings. Gordon got me in the head with an ice cube. You got good aim bucko!

- Kicking out a lady with a CRV who parked in out lot!! "CAN'T YOU READ THE SIGN?!" :D

Honestly, I can go on an on and on.... You are ALL so wonderful and I am so happy and feel so privileged to have have been a part of the planning and part of this community.

All I could think about today was MV9 and the fun I had. Before I pulled into my office garage, I thought to myself how I won't have any MV9 things to do, no vendor emails to return, nothing to follow up on... and my eyes literally started to get a little watery. This place and you guys and gals all hold a special little place in my heart.

Heart you folks!

The compiled comments above say it all:

A second family that comes together
Respect for all, and the CAR
Having a GREAT experience and a good time
Placing names to faces.
Meeting Mr. Steve Babcock and hearing the "Marauder Story"
A great MV9 venue
Helping to convoy block for the good of the "collective"
The humor out of BIGDOGJIM
Making new friends
And the list goes on.....

We'll see friends again at upcoming CAM events, Carlisle 2012, and if the Tea Leaves lay-down right MVX

AS I arrived at noon on Wednesday --there among other MM owners was the man known as "DOOM"-----who I had never met--so meeting him right off the bat was an omen to good things to come--but to my surprise--he was waiting to see my front Mesh Grill he tells me----

Seems he said he has my grill Pic posted large somewhere in his abode and just had to see it in person-LIVE: is I believe is what he sad--It is normally that wherever I go--seems that pic of my grill has attracted more attention than has become it's own celebrity--imagine that!

IN any case ==first meeting new MM owners is always great--

I just wanted to say that I am the kind of person that likes to be independent even in college I never joined a fraternity, in the Police dept. I never joined any groups or associations, I just wanted to do my own thing. I believe being independent helped build the person that I am today. This is the first time in my life that I joined an organization that includes one of my loves "Cars" . My first meet I was reluctant to go, but after getting there and meeting some of the members that you only know as a screen name all of a sudden became a real live person that from the begining treated me as family. Charlie was the first to make me feel relaxed which I believe he has done for others, "Kudos Charlie". After my first Marauderville MV5 Kelly and I were hooked were both adicted "Good Drug". Kelly even promised to be at more Carlisle events with me. For the past several years our job situations have limited our vacations but Marauderville has been put as a priority on both of our schedules because we enjoy each other and our Marauder Family. To summerize, We are glad to be part of the MercuryMarauder.net Family. Thanks to the committes that organize the Marauderville's.

We usually aren't "group" joiners either but took a chance on mm.net and discovered a world of people we love spending time with and feel so lucky to have met...all because Eric encouraged me to buy this big ol' 4 door muscle car. It's almost unbelievable that a car has been the gateway to this hobby we love and all these people we can't wait to see at the next meet. Eric, a former Mustang guy, was enjoying my Marauder and the mm.net people so much that he got his own. I feel so lucky to have a hobby to share with the love of my life....and with Eric too! :D LOL :bows:"Thanks Mr. Man" for getting me hooked! And thanks to all of you who welcomed us so warmly.

Freddie, it is always great to see you and Kelly! Can't wait til Carlisle and am so excited that Kelly's coming! See you then!

Freddie, you said it perfectly!!! We were also 1st timers at MV 5--where we met you & Kelly!! We had a blast, but like you, our job situations limit our vaca time. So we, too, save it for Maraudervilles for the time being. Hope we all can arrange to be at MV X:banana:

I know that you will find this hard to believe; but you and Jack actually met FreddieH at Red Brick Station, 3 December 2006.
That was the first "planning" meeting for Marauderville V (MV5) in the parking lot led by MyTMerc.
I also have a pic of Jack and Freddie in the lot (see below). Kinda chilly that day as I recall.
