hey there! im hoping somebody would be able to tell me a website on where to find a new OEM rear bumper cover or at worst case a refurbished one. i was reading the recent post about this but no real info was given except the known...."obsolete". i was in an accident, other drivers fault, over a month ago and i just now got approval to get my vehicle fixed from their insurance. i refuse to put a gm or cv bumper on my marauder, and price is not an option.....i shouldn't be 'punished' for someone else's mistake. any help would be appreciated, thanks--whitey

Talk to a local BS they would know of a company in there area who reconditions bumper covers. Possible they may have a core to work. How bad is youres? Us bodyman can repair more then you think. I just got done doing a lexus bumper that was 1400.00 new so the ins co. gave me a ton of labor hours to fix the existing one. Those are all options if you cannot locate a OE one.

its not too bad, but they wanted to replace it.

I don't know what the quality is like on the ROCKAUTO one but at least it says Marauder on the back. If you try it, let us all know.

Here is a discount code also.

If the other insurance company is paying.....

Insist that they replace the bumper cover with the correct OEM one.

Don't settle for anything less.

i hear ya, when the estimater came out to look at my car, i told him that the parts were probably going to be hard to find, his response was that the marauders wern't that 'rare' and he could get a reconditioned bumper cover for $900, then proceeded with 'one of my friends has one of these'...:bs:im going to make them eat their own words....maybe his friend has an extra bumper cover too..

Your right, I guess Rock Auto does not carry the rear bumper cover anymore then. They did as of the post here http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?p=1079424#post1 079424 but that was several months ago.

I did a google search. Looks like the 3W3Z17K835AAA at partsultimate was the one that RockAuto carried. I remember that picture distinctly. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.partsultimate.com/cdn/400/prod_FO1100343R.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.partsultimate.com/product/167347&usg=__2ja9Re-fBvm0c4sbDiH8daHFEvM=&h=400&w=400&sz=70&hl=en&start=3&zoom=1&tbnid=93UG4rqKXMUW2M:&tbnh=124&tbnw=124&ei=RbOgTr7vE4WOigKf5OVZ&prev=/search%3Fq%3D3W3Z17K835AAA%26u m%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26tbm %3Disch%26prmd%3Divns&um=1&itbs=1

well, i finally had my car fixed, although i did not order the bumper cover online, thank you for all the info though 88ltdcv351, the body shop repaired the original. looks fantastic, Nick's Auto Body(east side of baltimore county) did a great job.

just to throw it out there, the reason i did not get the bumper cover off the internet was because the body shop was telling me that a lot(3/4) of the refurbished bumpers that they recieve(from a place thats local, not the formentioned website) have to be sent back because the people that repair them dont really know how/what theyre doing....so to save me hassle from all the possible problems, they offered to repair my bumper. again, thanks to all--whitey
