Sell or Trade?

Looking for some opinions here. 2004 MM BLK, stock except for BT Pioneer Audio system and 10" sub with upgraded AMP. ~160000KMs

Buying a Lincoln MKS Ecoboost - Dealer is guaranteeing me $3500 for my MM on trade. Peanuts I know, but do I try to sell it privately? What is a fair price? How long would I wait for a buyer?

I believe 160K KM is about 100K miles so your car should be worth over $9K in decent shape. Don't trade it to the stealership!

I'd put her on Kijiji for at least $10,000 and see what happens. In July the dealer offered me $2000 for my wife's '04 Focus wagon with 93k. I sold it on Kijiji asking $6600 and got $6500 cash.
Why the MKS and not the SHO?
BTW I'm a Ford employee and there are a couple of dealerships in Mississauga that will give a great discount on 2011 models for 10-15% less than A-Plan.

I would sell it and not trade, you should easily more than double trade value offered and that's more $ towards the MKS. They are selling when the price is a value to those buying. I'm not sure but I would think it would sell between $8000 and maybe up towards the $10000+ fairly easily.
