Good Morning to all my fellow MM owners...My question is....Posi performance is offering a port and polish of the blower, plenium and t/b....I'd like to have it done.the price is very resonable (in my opinion) the only thing is he only offers 1 blower port style.a full race port...I'm not a drag strip kind of guy and use my MM for family outings and..... such,Don't get me wrong,I do get on it.I go to Charleston every other month and let her beath..130mph is not unheard of.....what do you all think????awaiting much valued opinions....bugsy....:confused :

If the car is primarily road car, why not just stick with the stock blower configuration? You're gonna be running around 420 rwhp, how much more your want to start off with?
IMO, you'll want to complement the improved blower performance with better breathing capability, so why not focus on getting exhaust work done first, and then look at upgrading the blower via P&P?
Do it do it do it!!!
I have it done on mine and love it!!!
That whine is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brian at posi is da man!

Porting the blower will only allow it to produce power easier, could run less boost and still make the same power as if it was stock and at higher boost.
Most people want a higher amount of power, so then can then dial it back down some.

No disagreement there, just suggesting he focus on completing his Eaton swap before moving onto additional mods, lotsa stuff he can do to get the car running strong before tweaking the blower.

My thinking is if I'm putting a blower on now,and I have access to a good (Steiggy) blower, why not put in on now.instead of taking the stock one off and then putting the ported one on later...

Mo' power is a good thing, port it. Ditto! there is no such thing as enough power. Push it to the limit

The "Race Port" is fine for every day driving too. It will make it more efficient and run cooler IATs also. Brian's (Posi's) is a great choice. Doom (Jake) had them do his which he is very happy with.

Do it. With all the sweet benefits mentioned above, plus it will be rebuilt and good to go. That's way better than finding a used Steggy blower that may need to be rebuilt again.
I have a spare Eaton that I may send out to Posi for some his good stuff.

$500.00 What does that equate to dollar per HP ?
Also save the dollars on exhaust. The oem is good for apx. 450 hp.

Guys,
Porting is the removal of extra metal allowing more air flow, right? What is the downside of it?

Posi told me that $500 is for the port only, not rebuilding.

Steggy wants additional 175.00 for rebuilding on top of 595.00 for stage 6 porting.

That is correct.
My Iats went down, it sounds much better (pronounced louder).
I wouldn't expect much HP increase unless you are doing something else like pulleys, exhaust etc.
It makes it safer, whether you decide to add more to it or not.
I did the Posi, FRPP shorties, Cobra offroad midpipes and gained 25 Hp.
The Hp increase was my new baseline before tuning.
