Raced in Ford vs Chevy at Gulfport, MS. Participated 2 years ago and back then ran a 12.2 @114.7 at 70*, and had a blast, (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=59547&highlight=chevy ).

This year for the Ford vs Chevy the Test-N-Tune was on Sat and the race on Sun. There were 26 cars in Street. They added a Dragster Class this year, 29 “Chevy Dragsters and 1 “Ford Dragster”. I never knew Ford and Chevy made dragsters,
At the Test-N-Tune on Saturday there were 3 wrecks, including the jet car. A dragster rolled at the finish and a Corvette lost control hitting a Mustang. The jet car had a problem at the 1/8 mile and aborted the run, pulling the chute. It appears the chute got hung up on the wall causing the jet car to hit the wall.
On Sunday the time trials started at 8:50am. The first run a Roush 427 hits the wall. This shuts the track down for a half hour. I find out from his friend who is running a late model Mach I the 427 was slipping all day yesterday. He has street tires on the back. The Mach 1 owner reminded me I showed him how to load his SCT tune 3 years ago at the track in Belle Rose, LA.
It was 80*/55% and I run my TT at 9:44am, 1.9246/12.2994 @113.26. There is a traction issue at the track. A dragster loses control at the top end, cannot stop in time. Does a 180* and hits the hay bales.
It was 84*/55% and I run my second TT at 12:24, 1.9245/12.2354 @112.53. Then an electronics car wrecks, hitting the rail.
It is now 3:33pm and I line up against a 4 door/4WD/diesel pu. I am very agitated with how the track is not managing the events and I red lite.
After I left a Top Sports man exhibition rolled at the top of the track so hard it made holes in the track, shutting it down for 3 hours. They were then limited to the 1/8 mile. Good thing I red lited.
A friend in a Super Snake named Richard who used to run a 2003 Cobra, (his Cobra ran 11.892 @ 117.77 some questioned me for reporting a Cobra went this fast so he joined - http://www.mercurymarauder.net/forums/showthread.php?t=16706&page=3) left after being eliminated in the 3rd round at 8:30pm. He ran an 11.8 in the morning and an 11.4 that nite with a tune/CAI/pulley.

I went to Test-N-Tune at Port Allen today.
There were 5 Z06 Corvettes running from 11.3 to 11.8. It was 72*/60% and I ran 1.805/12.197 @112.95. My second run it was 75* and I ran 1.819/12.192 @112.83. I am still having a traction issue and getting close to dialing it in.
Richard, the guy who ran the Super Snake at Ford vs Chevy was there with a new Pearl SHO and he ran a 13.20. This is his wife’s dd.
On my way out a 4wd was running after me. When I stopped at the exit he asked what I ran and when I told him 12.1. He said AWESOME. I ran the same or faster time than many of the trailer cars.
It was a good day.:D

Both of out cars should be a hell of a race on street trim.
