Hah yea I get that alot
I got my chin spoiler from american muscle because I wanted the metal fastening hardware but some people like the plastic in case they hit a curb or something it won't break the bumper just the spoiler but I'm just careful what I do plus the bumper has alot of play in it

Any consensus as to whether the metal or plastic mounting hardware is better (I think that I know the answer but have to ask - This will be the next mod)?

Use plastic push rivets.

Use plastic push rivets.
Now *that* was unexpected.
Why plastic vs. metal?

OK - Got it: Plastic fasteners are the weaker link - They go before the bumper.
Thanks!!!
