I should probably ask this in a topic thread but I'll give it a go here.

When we say that a stock motor will run roughly 450rwhp safely or your engine can go BOOM, what does BOOM connotate? Does the engine block itself explode or do just the internal parts go poof? I've always wondered and never thought to ask the "engine" guys.:)

Your rods shatter like glass, at that point in time you may also renevate your block with new windows.

You can push over 500 when rarely driven hard so I hear. Of course, I've also read about 420 and tick tick boom. It's a gamble of fun.

So the follow up question is, with the right forged parts in the block will the stock block itself support HP levels that can be had with a Terminator or Aluminator block? Might I even suppose that a Terminator block is a MM block with tougher internal parts?:)

One word "Cali"!

The only power adder option here is the Vortech s-strim kit from DR. This head unit will have the all important CARB EO number to pass the visuals for smog in Cali.

I have heard that the MM block can support 900 at the wheels. No personal experience here, just hear/say from Lidio. Not bad at all for a "weaker" aluminum block over the Termi iron!

I'd pick the more sensible route and leave Nazi run California.

That is correct, the 4.6L blocks themselves rarely are the cause of failure. It's mainly the internals trying to become externals that spell the end for these motors. Aside from having a porus, or core shifted block, they can typically take upwards of 700hp, cast iron and aluminum. The Aluminator block is the same casting as the MM block, the 03 Cobras used cast iron.
