I had a tranny fluid flush done on my car this afternoon. When I paid the bill, the guy tells me that I'm seeping oil from the oil filter housing gasket and/or the housing itself. Also seeping oil from the oil pressure sensor. He said I could buy all of these parts for less than $100 and they can install.
Just curious if replacing these parts is difficult or not. Since it's just 'seeping' and not leaking/gushing, figured I can wait a couple weeks and do it myself. My last day I'm expected to be at work is the 14th, so I'll have more time than usual after that day to tackle DIY stuff I haven't been able to until I move to Asheville. Now I need to find that thread that talked about shop manuals...
Thanks for the help...

I would pressure wash it or something similar first to make sure that it is not left over oil change oil that could have blown up some had it on my car thought great a leak nope just the oil change place not wiping the area down with a rag when they were done.

If no oil is on the ground then I would just clean the areas up real well and wait to fix it. Just keep an eye on your oil level and check the areas where you cleaned after a few days of driving. If you have a leak or such you'll be able to see where its coming from better if you know the area was cleaned before hand.

On the drive up to MV9, I noticed the smell of burning oil coming through my vents when I stopped for a lunch break. It's been producing that smell off and on since then. I put a piece of cardboard under the engine and there were about a dozen spots...appears to produce spots only when engine is warm. So, I believe the guy at the shop that I am seeping oil.

You did not say the mileage on the motor, but if you have 70K or more, you should consider adding 1 qt of high mileage oil per oil change. I use 1 quart Vavoline high mileage per oil change and the oil smell has disappeared. As the mileage and age increases, use more quarts of high mileage oil.
Valve cover gaskets are usually the ones that start to seep oil. If you donot want to use the additive, check the VC gaskets for leakage. VC gaskets will drip onto the exhaust manifold and make the smell.
