Wow, I had a great time! :) The Mark was a MONSTER all day long, and kept going faster with each run. lol I was getting concerned I might get the boot for no roll bar. A red light ended my chance for a class D victory, but I was very happy The Mark came home in one piece, and bested it's best time twice in one day!
Congratulations to JP, for his awesome runner up class C performance representing Mark VIII's!
Here's a video of The Mark going a little to fast and breaking out, but making a record run personal best! More photo's and videos to come! :)

Though the number of cars were down this year from previous shootouts, the fun factor was outta sight:beer:
On a serious note, we heard that Haki was in an accident traveling to the shootout(in his travel vehicle, not his Marauder). Hopefully he is ok.....
The usual suspects were there making 9 miles of runs:D Paul Casey takes another trophy! (Russ being a close second, and may have been closer if not for a MAF repair he had to deal with).
PonyUp ran a 14.2 @ TnT Friday nite! (Nicely done Brad!)
Landy and Levi tearing up the track as usual. (both cars are clean/tight as he#&$ too)
Cwright laying it down nicely sub 13 sec.time after time
TAF dealing with some shift mapping issues, but improving through the day
Larry (LJ on 24's) making a fashionably late appearance to let everyone know that this is just the beginning of his quest for one of the fastest Marauder in Atlanta (Special thanks to Jeff @ Mo's Speed Shop for his attention to detail and sense of urgency getting Larry's car hooked up:bows:)

It was good getting to see everyone. I had a great time just hanging out. Hopefully they'll put this event on next year as well. I was suprised myself running a 12.88 on street tires and a street tune. Next year will hopefully shave more time off. I was glad to see Larry make it out and I'm with Mike on Larry having the fastest Marauder in the ATL. It was good to meet Landy and Gary for the first time and also hanging with Todd,Jim, Mike, and Tom. Tom had a really GOOD time!

Great time again this year guys!
I missed meeting SCheeshead and several others as my day was spent chasing the elusive 12s but at the end of the day I did a 12.95 followed by a 12.85 on my NT555s. (Thanks Landy!):banana2:
Landy your car is a beast! You were the fastest MM there, at least by the end of the day. Your car is a one of a kind, done by your hands :bows:.
I look forward to this event every year and hope to attend many more. I can only hope that I can continue to be a sponor of such a fine event.
And just so it's clear, I claim best paint 2011 if for nothing else than default, but let's face it, it was the best paint there!!!

Hello Pops,
Yes stock cams for now. I have the 98 cam but will see this winter I may install. The only change from last year 13.66 @99 mph was I now have a Diablo sport tuner that a friend of my tune for me. We left a little after 90 mph my a/f went to 11 from 13.2. May look at fine tuning for next year SSHS.
I ran a 13.54 @100.77 with a 60ft of 1.99 on the first run down the track it was 37 deg outside and cold track. I was happy with that but after lunch picked up as it always does.
Hope you are doing well.
Russ
Russ you still have more left in the first sixty. I was pulling better numbers than that! Put a 4.30 gear in her and you will be low 13! We feel that was the biggest issue when I was runnung NA. I was going thru the traps about 5500. The 4.30 would not change your cruising rpm a lot. Gears and cams plus a 100 octane tune may well make the 12s. Great job!!!!
