You need to consider the tire profile, as a taller, wider tire is going to create more clearance issues than a short wide one.

FWIW, I tried going with 255/55/18s on all four corners and had a tire rub at full lock.

I have 255/45/18's on front with 1 cut coil, matched to 285/50/18's in the rear, with no problems at all.

how do you like the cut coil? I was always worried about the nasty bounce guys used to get! very tempting though ....... hows the handling and what did you do for the rear just change the height sensor lower? thanks.

I'm getting 255-45/18 Toyo Proxes ST2s mounted on the front wheels today. I'll let you know how they are once the car is back together.
The size was listed on the tire size pdf as being fine with no TC or rubbing issues.

Got the Cooper's and they are awesome so far. Wet and rainy and impressed so far. Great ride and very responsive.

Those silly hondas that are lowered and bounce around are because someone used heat to cut the spring, you want a metal cutting wheel of sort to do the cutting. Heat will warp the spring.

I have 255/45-18 on the front with stock springs (not cut) and I get slit rubbing when at full lock when turning left (back inside of the left tire rubs against the brake line.
