The engine I'm going to use in the Marauder is just about done. I bought a Moroso Deep Sump Oil pan for it. Will that work with the Marauder?

I don't think so. Can you eyeball it? What are your engine details? (congrats)

Can't eyeball it right now because the engine and pan are still with the builder.

Engine is a 5.5L big bore stroker. Used a Darton MID sleeved teksid aluminum block, sonny bryant billet stroker crank (shave balanced + polydyn coated), Manley Pro billet rods (polydyn coated), L&M Racing spec Diamond pistons (polydyn coated), "Stage 3" heads from Modular Head shop (enlarged valves, dual valve springs, etc), Bullet Racing cams ( had them make them extra lopey!), other things im forgetting! It's setup as low compression and the cams were designed with a Procharger F1 (A,C, or R) in mind.

Oh My God. That is beautiful. My favorite piece is the "Stage 3" heads from Modular Head shop"

You will need a beefy transmission and rear end for that, upgraded fuel system too. Geesh. Sounds like about 600+ at the wheels to me.

On the pan: There is a support, K-member, front suspension that crosses the pan. You will have to notch it or modify the pan for it to fit. (if that is even possible)

Haha thanks for the compliments! This thing has been under construction for 2 years now and I'm so ready for it.

When the stock engine comes out I have a friend that is going to beef up the transmission and the rear end. He makes beautiful rear ends! No pun intended.

So does everyone on the board re-use the stock Oil pan? I will if I need to...just that I spent $400 on that dang oil pan and it sure would be great to use it!

I expect we will make 400rwhp due to low compression before the Procharger. My tuner has assured me that we will make 800rwhp on pump gas with an F1A or F1C. I'm gonna see if I can get this big butt girl in the 9's!

So I take it no one on the entire site has an aftermarket oil pan?

Yes, can't remember who, but, there are a few. You can't even use the oil pan that comes with an Aluminator because of that K-member. Watch the oil pickup tube and how close to or from the bottom of the oil pan it is. Someone will chime in...

Stock oil pan is what most are using. Add a oil cooler if you need capacity. The Moroso pan in the link will not work without some wielding.

The Moroso aluminum pan will fit. The steel one will not.

Judging by your sig I would put some weight into that one.
