It took my custom guy 6 hours to do this custom install, but it was worth the wait.
It is really clean and I love the way this thing works.
Gives me HP, 1/4 mile, 1/8 mile 0-60 all based on g-force. It's really cool.

That's probably the one coolest interior/electronic modification I've ever seen on a Marauder. Very sweet!
We all can't wait to see what he'll come up with next!

Does the G2 work at that angle? I thought the docs said something about it having to be level and square? (digging for my book now cause this is cool!)

Tom
No, there is no clock in the 2004 (or late 2003).

Yes, it works at a slight angle. The docs that come with the G2 show a side illustration and the timer can actually be at a bigger angel.
It must be in the dead center of the car.

It took 6 hours because it is tricky to cut through the trim panel. The trim panel is aluminium faced on plastic. One slip and it is history. You also can't remove the aluminium so you must cut through both at the same time - then usa a file to make it ift perfectly.
Plus it had to be hard wired and when installed back into dash, soem of the dash had to be cut away.

Is that the one that gives you a real time tach and shift light as well?
I dunno... I'd say your dash MIGHT be more pimpin' than Logans... :flamer:

Here is a place that tells what it does.

It basically gives you your 1/4 mile and 0-60 times based on G-force.

Saturday, I am finally installing a custom spoiler. Been waiting for 2 months. Had to be repainted 3 times. First time, no clear coat. Second time they painted the celarcoat over but it went foggy because they used the wrong paint under. They sanded it all off and did it right.
Now it is done...phew.

It must be in the dead center of the car.I believe you. I looked through my G2 book and didn't see the illustration, but then this won't be the first time documentation has lagged product!
Ok, I like what you've done and really see no need for my clock in my '03. What sits behind that trim piece? Is it hollow once you get the shiny surface cut away? Also, did you provision yours for the extra data port? I ask because I purchased the data accessory cable so I could pull the data off mine. Why they didn't go USB is beyond me, but Radio Shack makes a Serial-to-USB adapter that worked fine. I could see mounting the 9-pin serial port lower on the console to make it inconspicuous.
Did you take any pictures while it was disassembled?
Good job!!

No access to port - I didn't need it or want it.
I think you could split it and run an aux port.
There are several way to mount it to the trim - it just depends on time.
We bonded it - plastic to plastic.
