First thanks to all of you for a great sight--have been reading it for about a year-have had several GM"s and good luck with all-wanted something a little more exciting-wife called my GM an old farts car-picked up DRT 2 weeks ago-only 500 miles-here is what I think--dealer serviced well-everything works good--I know you all talk about mods but I think the car performs great just the way it is--it will stay with just about anything on the road--ride is stiff, but I like it that way--stereo is first class-as a highway car nothing beats it-and to make some of you feel bad the paint is flawless-this car is not for everyone but I think it's a great ride-thanks for your time-glad to be here-wife doesn't call THIS;) an old fart car

Pappy, glad to have you on board and glad to hear that you got rid of the old farts car. Now go out and smoke some young Ricer punk. :burnout:

Welcome aboard, pappyjack! I don't think anybody here will knock you for not modding your car. Many of us have kept them stock or only done minor things to them (myself included). Good to have you here.

Welcome aboard Pappyjack. BTW...where are you located? If you are in one of the regions that frequently get together...a DTR is ALWAYS welcome.

I know you all talk about mods but I think the car performs great just the way it is--it will stay with just about anything on the road--ride is stiff, but I like it that way

Welcome and I agree the car is fine as is, it will make you even happier after about 5k when it really gets into it's groove. If you should ever want to change anything later on, the help available in this forum is formidable and friendly...again welcome to the club !

pappyjack,
My wife has had the same comments as your wife about old farts & their cars. She has definitely conceded that my DTR is not an old fart's car, but, alas, still maintains that I'll be an old fart for "a while longer" !

Just turned over 100 miles on my DTR. Plan no mods except maybe wheels. Torque-thrusts or may even white NASCAR style wheels. Any votes for white wheels on a DTR?

At least do the one 'mod' that I did: put some Bob White Bumper inserts on the rear to warn those that try to pass us 'old farts.'

Don't know when the age of "Old Fart" begins--but-- we all could be in the way we do things to our MM's..just the same--- welcome aboard as many have said here and the best way to feel if you ever want to "upgrade" or mod up yours after a few miles have been put on her is to drive someones that had done some--then and only then will you really FEEL the difference-- rather than read or hear about it--so as TAF (Todd) has mentioned--- try and see if in your area there is more MM owners or group and get together for for fun meets and reviews..........have fun.....Tom
