If you are getting power to the pump your pump is probably bad.

Is the solenoid connected located to the pump ?
How do I check the solenoid ?
To test the pump can I bypass the solenoid & try to power pump with lead wire from battary ?

When mine would'nt inflate, it was the ride height sensor. All of $50. Don't jump to conclusions just go to a mechanic that does'nt charge diagnostic fees.

A compressor from a lincoln at a junkyard can be a cheap and easy temp fix or test depending on what your local mechanic would charge to diagnose it. First though, like bolsen said, look on the rear axle to make sure the ride height sensor is still there and connected and not bent.

+1 for checking the height sensor. You'll have to lay on the ground, its locate attached to the Watts link just in front of the gas tank. If you've never lubricated it or replaced it then I would suspect its shot. The compressor and module gets all of its input from the height sensor.

Well I read the link from Lincoln town car suspension, lincoln on line tech all how the air ride works. Tryed a few things jumped relay door open key on door closed key on & no action. Long story short I ordered a new pump from Arnotte.Works like a champ. My question is the pump has two hose hook ups one to air bags. Whats the other for ? dryer. Do I plug it or what ?

The other one is the vent...it goes to that rectangular white box mounted to the radiator support. Don't plug it or the system won't be able to release air when it needs to lower.

Called Arnott Inc. just wanted to be clear on a very simple hook up of air ride compressor. The compressor has three air ports. One to the air bags one for air inlet one for release it also has a built in release valve. There is no need to hook hose to the plastic box.

Kurt, you are correct that there's no NEED to hook the vent hose up to the white plastic box...it's just a "muffler". My comment was not to PLUG the hose as then the air wouldn't be able to vent.

Hey MM.NET world, im new to the site. I just picked up my 03 MM, and I would like to get the original angle from the rear suspension back. How is the heifght adjustmant sensor adjusted? I hear the air compressor when i start the car but it doesent seem to be working like it should. Any suggestions?

I hear the air compressor when i start the car but it doesent seem to be working like it should. Any suggestions? How do you think it "should" work? If the car maintains ride height, then the compressor is doing its job.

If you want the rear end to be higher or lower, simply adjust the ride-height sensor...loosen the bolts and slide the bracket.
