What is the life expectancy of the bags? What about availability in 5-10 years?

Given the downsizing of cars and the upsizing of me I will need a large car long after I retire (578 days). My ’87 T-Bird lasted over 20 years before I sold it (still running strong). I expect my ’03 Marauder to last me until I die. I don’t want to have a disabled car 5 years into retirement because a bag died and there are no replacements.

Should I do some pre-emptive parts acquisitions? :help:

I think the availability should be good for quite a few more years. It's only been a few months since the last car to use the system rolled off the line. Since at this point there really isn't a contender for replacement for the stretch limo segment many operators will likely be keeping them for 10 years ensuring enough demand to keep them available based on that demand alone.

The Marauder Air SPRINGS are a unique part#, there are aftermarket ones available but the real stiffer Marauder ones will only be around so long...

Depending on your climate and mileage, may want to get them checked for dry rot now to be safe. Just had a tuneup Saturday and was told I need new ones within the next year. Got a quote for around $420.00 from Ford.
