Fuel door release an electric button on drivers door = 300a, finger pull on gas door = 300b.

Clock built in to dash = 300a, clock in radio = 300b.

Should be a 2003 MM 300a ... one of the early ones since the build date should be about mid-June 2002. How do I know this?? ;)

Read the VIN. 10th digit is a "3". That means 2003 MM.

But as Bluerauder stated it's a early '03, VINs start at 600001, so it's roughly the 17,000th vehicle built at STAP, or a drop in the bucket considering there were over 100,000(combined) Grand Marquis and Marauders built in '03...

Not true, My 300b had electric fuel door, auto parking brake release, clock on dash and in radio, traction control and full size spare. I think traction control is the biggest differentiator.

Sounds like you had one of the "pre-decontented" models during the changeover from 300A to 300B that had a mix of 300A and 300B features. I think that this happened sometime in the September-October 2002 timeframe. There was a bunch that slipped through as A/B mixed. Do you remember the build date on that Marauder?

I don't remember. I may have some paperwork in it somewhere but the car has moved on to Marauder heaven :(
