What do you guys think about 3.73 rear end gears on a s/c car? Better traction off the line?

I think this has been said many times, get 4:10s, or keep your 3:55s, there wont be any noticeable difference with 3:73s over the stock 3:55s

Yup, yup, and yup.
Besides, if you're going S/C and you mash the loud pedal, you're gonna break the tires loose with ANY set of gears, unless you go with widened wheels on big ol' sticky tires.

unless you go with widened wheels on big ol' sticky tires.
Then you'll be replacing axles and maybe the rear end.

I believe Juno and Stranger in a Black Sedan have 3.73s but the latter no longer posts here.

I would not bother with 3.73s.

I have 3.73's and get better highway mileage than 4.10 - 2500rpm @80mph also ran 13.9 with them...
If you get a roots SC stick with 3.55
If you go centri go 3.73 or 4.10 with a higher stall converter.

You have a totally race marauder and a totally stock marauder.

I have 4.10's. Loved them before the Eaton swap and I love them more now after the Eaton swap. :burnout:

Minority here.
I had 3.73's in my first MM and they were great and had a noticeable difference hole shot wise and didn't bump the RPM's much on the freeway either.
However..
If I had around 500hp from a Merc, 3.73's would be great. Or if you constantly drive above 85mph+
Sub 500hp, 4.10's all the way.

I ran 4:30s for years, on widened tires. Went down to the 3.73s to slow the engine rpm's down. Haven't been to the track lately so don't have time comparisons, but I sure am happy with the 3.73s on the street.

I'm with you. I have 4:10s in the my black trilogy and am considering going to 3.07's for the gas mileage.
