Your probably right considering Shermans but running the 1/4 mile longer than many of us have been alive!

If referring to this Marauder world, the time slip page shows who has been running what.

You know what is really interesting? Guys like us who put their blood sweat and tears into modding their cars and get them into the 12s and even 11s. Not like certain unscrupulous business owners who test and tune customers cars into the ground, then run when the engine goes "pop". And then learning from those mistakes and successfully modding their own car right into the 11.6 zone!

Looks like Mike Z (MikesMerc) may have busted 11.6 first during the test & tune prep for the race against the Ford GT ... he posted this on 21 October 2005

Wow....that was fun!

After running an 11.53 @ 120 in test tune it was a long wait for my turn against the GT. Someone lifted the front end of a car on the track, lost it, and got hurt. It took almost an hour to clear the track. After waiting around for my second run of the night, and my first run against the GT, we finally staged at around 9pm.

Unfortunately I got into it a bit too heavy off the line and spun bad. My 2.0 60ft killed me. The GT and I stayed neck and neck but he edged me with a his best run of the night...an 11.916 @ 124.6 vs my traction problemed 12.05 @ 119.65.

Dennis (the GT pilot) motioned to me to do a hot lap. He knew I blew my tires off the line and that I had a lot left to give. He was well aware of my test n tune time so he was nice enough to let me have another go.

This time I made sure not to rush and stayed calm. I hole shot him in spectacular fashion with a 1.72 60ft and an incredible 7.22 1/8 mile @ 96.57 finishing with an 11.65 ET. He didn't have a chance and shut down half way down the track. I was a bit bummed he shut down, but he said he knew he couldn't catch me and was worried about the clutch which we could both smell in the pits. He gave me the "win" and we shook hands.

All in all a fun trip. Give that GT some better tires and a new clutch and it would put the hurt on most cars.

I was at little know race track at Dallas GA (Southeastern Dragway) and watched Martyo's car run in the mid 11's. I think I have pictures to back that up. Video posted by Donny Carlson in April, 2005 on the Motor City site. This timeslip should seal the deal.

Well it seems I wasnt done racing for the year afterall.
I was at US 41 today for the Midwest SVT Challenge, Cobras everywhere! A good group of people on top of that.
I had nothing but a good day, heres the results:
Best pass of the day:
11.627 @ 116.88mph! 60 foot was 1.608!
Other passes:
12.221 @ 116.34mph (I was the very first car down the track!) Very slick!
11.807 @ 116.57mph
11.975 @ 115.98mph
11.774 @ 116.88mph
Awesome day, very windy but temps in the mid 40's
You should have seen the attention the car got, the Marauder impresses yet again.
