Sorry about that.. I accidentally deleted the miles... 82,000. No modifications, only replaced the stock air filter with a much better K&N Filter and added a Tornado Fuel Saver.

Actually yes.. when the car was first purchased and the fuel saver was a new hot item. Once in, it's done. My cousin is a NASCAR mechanic and performed tests on his own vehicles and said it works. I'm glad I did it especially with the way gas prices have gone up over the past year or two.

A little over 2.5 MPG increase from adding an obstruction into the intake tube? In an electronic-fuel-injected car?
If you saw an increase, I'm thinking it was a happy coincidence.

Also a block of wood under the gas pedal works well too.

If something this simple really worked, wouldn't the manufacturers have added it to their cars on the assembly line?

Nah, we all know it's a conspiracy by Big Oil and the Auto Industry to maintain their stranglehold on the American consumer... ;)

HAHAHAHA!!! I remember thet. You would not believe the number of people that rolled in to my shop with the cow magnets taped to the fuel lines. WAY too unbelievable! Thanks for triggering that memory & giving me a smile - needed it today... :D:D:D

Yes. There has been snake oil since the dawn of time. People still fall for it... :shake:

I could swear that some reputable source had written that they BELIEVED (read: still hadn't even tested) a vortex fuel saver MIGHT show a SMALL benefit on a carbureted engine, simply because the air and liquid fuel actually do mix before they enter the cylinder, but that there is no conceivable way it would be beneficial on anything fuel-injected (maybe TBI? but nothing else).
