Well, one of the things on Rosa's Christmas list was a new car....

I loved my Infiniti. Traded it in for wife's current ride (GMC Acadia). All signs pointing to us going back to Infiniti once my GM warranty is up in '13.

So....

We were out Christmas shopping for our two oldest kids at Best Buy.....I park way out of the way....and there are like 5 empty spots next to us when we park, and a median on the drivers side of us.

Low and behold we come out of the store and find a note on the windshield. A nice gentleman wrote on the note that he saw a Jeep hit my car and left his name number and the LP, make of vehicle and description of the offender. So I look around and see a long wide scuff mark on the rear bumper to the rear fender well on the passenger side....look around the parking lot and see the offenders Jeep one spot over from my car.

I match up the scuff mark on the car and the Jeep and viola....looks like a perfect match.

I call the local PD and walk back into Best Buy and have them call security.....I let security know what had happened and she writes some notes. As we are waiting for the driver of the Jeep to come back, I hear "whats going on" from a male voice who is with the female that was driving the Jeep. I tell him that appearently yall hit my car....and the female responds...."umm, how?, I am parked over here". I said I dont know how you did it, but some one saw you do it and left a note on my car with is name and number. And then she said something to the effect of she didnt feel anything.

I was like, really, then why would you move your vehicle if you didnt think you hit my car? She didnt have an answer for that one. She also provided information to security and had an expired insurance card.....then the girl said, are you going to call the cops on me? I said you better believe it.....you dont have a valid insurance card and you tried to deny that you even hit my car....I am not taking any chances.

When the Officer arrived I told him all that stuff and he is like, yeah, you are right...why would she move her vehicle if she didnt hit your car....he asked her that and she replied that there was a truck parked next to me and thats why she was one spot over from my car.....sure....how could you possibley hit my car if there was a truck parked next to me.

So now I will be calling her insurance company this morning and filing an accident report against her, as it happened on private property (parking lot).

Sorry for the long story. Just had to vent.

Just spoke to the insurance adjuster....they are coming out to look at the G tomorrow...

Also spoke to the claims person....said there were going ahead with the appraisel but have not accepted liability as they have not been able to get ahold of the insured.

Not only that...but she has not contacted her insurance company about the accident. Hope this turns out well.

Yeah....the Marauder is just fine....all clean and sitting pretty in the garage during all this wet weather lately....hasnt been dry here in over a week....but no real rain either....just wet, humid, and foggy....some drizzle.

Finally got the estimate done.....just over 800 in damage....still have to add the rental when we take it to the shop. Rosa wasnt happy when some girl trying to play dumb hit her car.

So now just to wait on the check her insurance company is sending me....still dont know if they ever got a hold of her....but I assume they did since they are sending the check to me in just a matter of 4 days.

Yeah....the officer that showed up to take the report asked her....well if you didnt think you hit the car, why would you move your vehicle over another spot? She tried to tell ther officer she couldnt park there because there was a truck already there.....Ha Ha...there is no way she could have hit Rosa's car if there was a vehicle parked next to us already.

Thank goodness the other guy saw it....good guy he was. And yeah....appearently your right.....stupid is as stupid does!
