Looks like it was from a transition car. No remote fuel door release and no heated seats.

Depends how bad they're wrecked; some of 'em can't be rebuilt. Ask me how I know...:alone:

That look bad/sad/nasty. Did you buy back (for parts) after insurance totaled it?

Nope, couldn't afford to at the time. Was fortunate to find my DBP to replace it.

I wanted the interior, too much coin though. Went for $861 plus shipping. Good deal if I had $1000 burning a hole in my pocket.

T-boned the wife on her way to work one morning. A kid had been out partying all night long either fell asleep or passed out on his way home and swerved into her. She took it down into the ditch, he ended up nailing her anyway.

The wife walked away with bruises from the seatbelts locking up, and scuffs from the airbag deployment. No doubt the car saved her from serious injury or worse.

Asshat was in a coma for almost a week and had compound fractures in both legs. On top of it, he only had minimum insurance that didn't fully cover value of our car. :shake:

Sorry to hear that had to happen to her. Lucky for her the hit wasn't 3 feet farther back. How does someone not carry enough insurance to cover damage to other peoples property? I guess the laws are different here in FL. I saw your DBP at SSHS11. It's a nice one.

He had minimum required liability coverage, IIRC it was around $25K. Our insurance made up the difference, so we basically broke even.

Thanks, I love my Blue, but I miss the DTR, it was a moonroof car, something I really liked.

Just spoke to the salvage yard where i'm picking up the seats at. It seems that they just plucked the damaged body off of the frame and have it for sale. 155k miles and they want 7500 for it . The rest of the car is not available to be picked.
