Hi,

So it looks like i'm starting to have issues. A few times now i'll turn on the defroster and nothing happens. I'll try to switch to other zones and nothing except I can hear it switch to the correct zone but no air. I'll mess with the fan speed manually and usually after messing with it a little while voila something kicks in and the air will start blowing. Anyone know whats going on? Is the unit going? With winter approaching the last thing I want is to get stuck in the snow and not have the defroster/heat working. Every time i'm just about ready to bring it in to the shop it starts working again.

Thanks,

Gary

Sounds like the BCM is flaky... a common problem.

If you tap the BCM and the fan works you'll need to replace the BCM.

BCM is located near where the heater hoses enter the heater core in the engine compartment.

Yep, I will third the BCM. I had a similar problem with the fan speeds and that fixed it right up.
