I was sitting in the car at a shopping center today while my wife was picking up a few things in one of the stores when a young gal dragging a small child behind her comes up to my car saying, "Excuse me, sir..." Immediately I think, oh no, another pan handler. They're pretty much everywhere out here. But instead of giving me some song and dance and asking me for money, she tells me she saw me drive into the shopping center and she's been looking all over to find where I've parked because she loves my car! She tells me she's only seen a couple of them before, but she loves the car and none of her friends believer her that the car she describes to them isn't just a fancied-up Crown Vic. She asks if she can take some pictures of the car with her cell phone and then she asks me all kinds of questions about the car; what makes it different from a Crown Vic, how many were made, where do you find them, etc. She said she plans to save her money and buy one. It amazes me how people are still fascinated by this car.

The guys at Discount Tire were drooling over it today, especially the hood I got from Justbob. They see alot of nice cars, but went out of their way to comment on how cool and fast it looks with the hood and spoiler.:bows:
Now I just need the damn supercharger!

As one of many original owners her ---this stuff happens ever time we take it out-----9 years and folks seem to think is a new model ----the sayings have been posted here over the years of what people say --it's really endless---.....am sure someone will post some or mention them here in a while---but your right---the car is an attention getter--especially if it whistles and rumbles and turns heads before its even seen----wonder where I got that idea...hummm...carry on --it's great to own one for sure!!!!!!!!!

I really like when women show attention to the Marauder, Lots of guys say things about how cool the car is.
I like when I look in the rear view mirror and the lady in the passenger side is pointing at the back and asking hubby, What's that?

I've worked in shops most of my life, I can remember the first time I had ever seen the Marauder. One came in for rear tires... From the first look I was in love <3 Every time after that I would always point them out... My wife would be in mid sentence, and I would cut here off and be like LOOK! LOOK! And for the past 5 years I've worked on US1 in downtown Ft. Lauderdale. Every morning at about 5am I would hear a rumble coming down the road. I'd look up just in time to see a Marauder hauling ass down the street.... I bought my Marauder in September. It was one of the most wonderful days of my life. I'd put it up there with the birth of my kids. "I Love My Rauder"

I Posted a thread a while back on this topic. I've only had mines for a year. Therefore I'm still amazed at the compliments also. Makes me appreciate my car more.... And yes Pan handlers are leading the country in hiring employees lol.

As I was walking thru a Detroit airport gift shop wearing my two-tone Marauder shirt, one of the store clerks started a conversation about how badly we wants one.

Yup, get comments and questions about mine all the time. I've had all kinds of folks walk up to me in store parking lots, rest stops along the interstate, gas stations, even our church parking lot and ask me about the car.

On Sunday mornings on LI there's a large car gathering at the Oak Beach Inn.A few weeks ago I was down there with the marauder parked next to a friend who has a very nice 04 cobra. Most of the people walking by stopped to talk to me about my 04 DTR but no one stopped by his cobra. He became pissed and moved his car because he said I was getting all the attention and no one noticed his car. I love it!:stupid:banana:

If you'd ever seen me, you wouldn't have asked that question.

Did you give her a MM. net card?
There are some deals to be had - She should have her own MM.
Sounds like she's one of the "Deserved Ones".......

I started my new job about 7 months ago. Finally have some panthers in the parking lot here (there is a couple of GM, a Crown Vic, and a Townie) but once again its mostly non-domestic car brands. Anyway, my co-workers haven't caught on yet. They are confused by my MM. I think they think I put some shiney rims on a Grand Marquis. I just call it "the Mercury" and will wait to see how long until someone figures it out. My boss did say he saw two one day. But I think he probably just saw a couple of Crown Vics. My references did tell my boss about my ex-cop box Crown Vic which I'm still fixing up so they know I have two cars. My co-worker said I drive two "Crowns". So he obviuosly thinks its a Crown Vic also. I have got the comment that people thought they are both police and that the police pulled up or some none-sense. lol

I honestly didn't think these cars stood out as much as they do, I just thought my addiction for spotting them out before I got mine was just me being "Marauder crazy", I seem to get ask a lot about it like most others. People know a great car when they see one..

Absolutely. I still get complements on my car even by other Realtors that drive BMW's. I just wish it had more umph than their rides do.

Imagine how many people are noticing and admiring our Marauders that we don't even know about. I mean, how often have you admired a cool car but didn't say anything to the owner? The majority of people never go out of their way to speak up and pay a compliment, so figure for every one compliment you get there must be at least ten other people who have taken positive notice of your car but not said anything.

I needed a new set of front tires last month for my '04 Silver Birch (getting ready for winter with extra depth tread). The tire shop emptied when I pulled in. They heard my car before they looked up (SW full exhaust with full length headers). The desk staff and four mechanics had to see the car up close, as they had read about the Marauder but never actually had seen one. The good news..they got my tires in three days and they put me at the head of the list for service. Ahhh.... it is still a great feeling!
