No you wont!

You want LOUD get flowmaster super 44's or ridiculous loud aero turbines!

Magnaflows are not loud! They have a MEDIUM sound.

Also delete your 2nd set of cats! That will get you a noticeable difference as well as a small HP gain!

Levi with your taste you would like borlas. They are quiter than mine on idle and cruising and louder on wot.

I had Flowmaster delta's with 2nd. cat delete and delete tips. loved it.

Then I installed custom longtube MAC's, custom X pipe, and no cats. Lets just say i refused to drive the car it was so embarrassing raspy! Quick change to the Magnaflow 18" case and WOW, what a beautiful zero raspiness sound.

Magna Flow refused to make good on a product that I was told they knew had a mfg defect. I was told they made the outerwall of their cats too thin for the high heat of a modern engine. Their cats cracked open.

I will never buy another product from them.

Magnaflow or Flowmaster?

Just my opinion here, but I think Flowmasters sound wonderful with stock manifolds and cats, but are way too loud and harsh with headers and high flow cats. You might as well be running open headers.

With headers and high flow cats I recommend Magnaflow mufflers. Go with the 14" model if you want it loud, or the 18" model if you want it a little bit more tame. Either one will still give you a strong muscle car sound, but far less harsh than Flowmasters.

Anyway, this has been my experience on two of my Panthers I've put headers on, my '03 Marauder and my '07 Lincoln Town Car.

Yea I want loud i want you to hear me coming and going so I'll think Ima do the 2.5" H pipe with the flowmaster 44s. Loud is always better.

Those aeros sound nice. I saw Brian's car at sshs last year but never heard it with the bolas. Its a tossup with those two mufflers.

Chokemasters FTL!

+1.

Aeros, Magnaflow and Borla mufflers are all straight-thru design. Aeros do not come with any packing inside, some of the Magnaflows do and I'm not sure about Borla, I know the ones I have used in the past didn't have any packing but I guess it depends on the muffler.

On a car with stock cast iron manifolds and stock cats the Flowmasters are the least of your restriction concerns. On the OP's car with headers, my biggest concern would be waking up the neighbors two blocks over every time I had to start the thing in the early morning hours.

Totally agree. I swapped out my once loved Flow delta 50's (stock, minus rear cats and res. Delete) in only a couple of days after doing my LT's and X pipe. Harsh isn't even close to the awful sound they made. Always hated magnaflows, till now..

These Noel's pros and 4"marauder tips are the perfect combo. Nice low rumble at idle and very aggressive sounding at wot.

Magnaflow or Flowmaster?

I'm thinking about going with the SUPER 44's with rear cat delete and new 4" Megs tips.

Should I/we go with the offset inlet/outlet or same side inlet/outlet?

Thanks,

Mark

If interested I have some 2 1/2" Magnaflows I recently pulled from my '93 Mustang. Nothing wrong with them. I swapped them out for 3" flowmaster Super 44's. PM me if interested

Sorry I think that, given the feedback on the SUPER 44's, I'll go with them,

Everyone - Direct or offset is best (or doesn't matter)............

Remember, my wrenching days come from the era of points, new rotor caps easily accessed plugs and condensers.

I don't know about this new tech stuff.

I envy your knowledge about "modern" engines, tuning, etc. etc. etc.

Thanks,

Mark
