Have been a reader for a couple months, new to posting. I hope to own a marauder in the next year or I'm currently looking at a 03 CV sport black on black that I can get under 2k it has 180k on the clock. This will be a play toy / family mobile until I can find the right marauder. I won't feel to bad modding a CV like I would a marauder.
What are some of the best mods to do? I have always been a foxbody mustang nut modding just about all of them, i have owned more at one time than anyone should probaly have. I'm back down to 2 foxbodies my 92 drag car with a 347 stroker and my street car that i put a saleen 2v supercharged motor in. These 2 are plenty for me but not practical to take my wife and 3 girls out for a ride in. So I have convinced her that I need to get a family sports car.
Sorry for the long post.

I'm planning on putting them on the CV sport, I should pick up the car over the weekend, as long as everything goes as planned. I like the look of the marauder tips alot better than most of the tips I see people put on the CV's. I also plan on putting the 18x8.5 mustang fan blades on the car.
What are the differences between the CV sport and the Marauder other than motor, interior panels and Bumpers which are the most obvious, and is it possible to squeeze a 5.4 4v navigator engine under the hood?

Welcome to the site my fellow peep. As far as mods go. The first mod I did was a new tune. The stock tune just plain sucks on a Marauder. After that I did a JLT intake. Soon after I had 4.10's installed. Then I installed under drive pullies. That was a lot of fun. But I wanted more.
I ditched the under drives and installed a Eaton supercharger from the 03-04 Cobra. Also installed Willwood brakes, rear upper and lower control arms and larger swaybars and endlinks and did the J-mod to the tranny a long with a dyno tune

There's lots of small things. If I had a cv I would do marauder headlights and side markers. I think a mach1 chin would fit on a cv. Tint. Rear spoiler. S55 tail light. Mm tips. Flowmasters. The headlights and side markers you can get from rockauto.com

Sweet car guspech
I was thinking gears 1st, that always seems to be a very noticeable change. 2nd do mufflers dunno which ones yet, i dont want to be to loud just have a nice deep throaty sound. Then ill concentrate on handling, Spring upgrade, sway bar, control arms and anything else that really makes the car handle better. Then do power adders and better braking items.

4:10 rear and a tune will be your best. Then cai and pulleys

I didn't think the corners and head lights would fit a CV. The tint and mm spoiler is a definite, I'm not sure what the s55 tail lights are. Which flowmasters are throaty but not to loud I wake the neighbors.

The tail light mod is nice. But I think I like the tail lights as they come from the factory better myself. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep the cats.
I know I'm going to have to get use to the ride difference between the CV's smooth ride and my 89 foxbody street car which rides like a tank but can bite the asphalt in the corners.

Paint the tail lights to match the color of car and only leave the slits unpainted. 100% improvement.

I guess I really need to see how the tail lights look in person. I never liked the foxbody gt tail lights that were painted.

Marauder Corners alone will fit with very minor modifications. Then just do what i did and pull the lense off the headlights with a heat gun or you can put them in the oven to soften the glue and paint the inside of the CV lights black. Otherwise you gotta replace the Header panel grille and bumper to make actual marauder lights fit.

I had a 99 CVPI before I got my marauder. Did a lot of mods to the car and it woke up it right up. Marauder exhaust from the cats on back with flowmaster 40 series, a tune by DR, 3.73 gears in the rear, ud pulleys, JLT intake and marauder spoiler.Car did 15.5 in the quarter mile.

Quasar, The lights look good on your CV, What did you use to seal the lights when you put them back together?
Mrauder, I'm thinking exhaust, gears and tune first. Spoiler is a must since I like the look of the mm spoiler.
Anyone know if a 5.4 4v will fit under the hood?

Did them a couple years ago and I just don't remember the exact name of it. But it was just standard black epoxy pretty sure I just grabbed a tube of it from Autozone.
There a few guys over on Crownvic.net that have 5.4's in their Vics but I think they are 2 valves. One or two with the lightning motors in them but those needed hood modifications to fit.

Will the 5.4 4v fit in the engine bay? Yes.
Will the 5.4 4v fit under a stock hood? Incredibly unlikely. This is based on the fact that the 5.4 2v is an incredibly tight fit under the hood, and the assembled 5.4 4v is 7.5 inches taller.

I have seen the 5.4 lightning motor in a Vic and thought it had hood clearance issues because of the was the supercharger intake setup is designed coming off the top of the SC. I believe someone on the CV site has a 2v 5.4 under a stock hood with no modifications to the hood. I was unsure how much the 2v and 4v 5.4's differ.

I do. Haha.
The 4v intake is just really tall and I don't think it could possibly fit under the hood. Even the stock 2v 5.4 intake is too tall to fit under the hood. 5.4 swapped vics have to use an aftermarket intake to fit under the hood.
