Does anyone know if the the 4R75W has a drain plug in the stock torque convertor? Also, does anyone know where I can get a drain plug for the pan? Or better yet, does anyone sell a pan to fit with a drain plug in it?

T/C has no plug.
FLAPS has the DIY drain plug that you drill a hole in the pan for & there are several Aftermarket pans w/drain plugs.
I have the B&M pan that works very well.

I am using the Ford pan for the 4R70W/75W made for U-Haul with a drain plug.

The part number is F8UZ-7A194-AA.

^^^what Darksyne said^^^

Ford discontinued drain plugs on torque converters back in 2001.

I bought the drain plug from the auto store. I drilled the hole at the lowest part on the backside of that little hump on the trams pan. Let the fluid drain out. Removed the pan and drilled the correct size hole for the new drain plug. Costs like $5.

It would make me very nervous having the drain plug on the bottom of the pan especially with that pan being closer to the road than a stock one.

On the OEM U-Haul pan the drain plug was placed on the backside of the hump on the pan so if it did get sc***** then the drain plug wouldn't get ripped off.

EDIT: The bleeped out word above is "s c r a p e d".

Thanks for all the advice, you guys are great. I ended up picking up a brand new Ford uhaul pan still in the box on Ebay for $40.00. The guy I bought it from got it for his MM, but ended up trading it in (bet you he misses it) before he installed it. At least it will still get installed on a MM :)

I had that U-haul pan too but just recently upgraded to a mag-hytec pan.
It's a real nice piece. integral o-ring gasket, magnetic drain plug...
it has some nice extra features.
Big money, though. lol

I'm using a TCI deep sump aluminum pan and used my stock Marauder pan for my Mark VIII with a drain plug added. Also have a temp sensor drilled and tapped into it. Costs money but I figured it would help when using a 9.5" convertor to offset the total fluid loss.
